That means Cobra enthusiasts don't have to look very hard to find a great variety of aftermarket support, and that makes it pretty easy to build a roadster any way they like it. The problem then becomes the amount of time and money that such a massive undertaking requires. After spending years writing check after check to shop after shop, the enthusiast finally gets to enjoy a car that, by that point in time, they might not even want. Fortunately, there is a better solution! Why not let your friends at here sell you a top-notch custom like this killer stroker for half the price, and a fraction of the time, of building it yourself? I have put several miles on the car and it run's great. BODYWORK/TRIM This is a Kit car From B& B Cobra. Their link is at the bottom of the page. This Company has long been applauded for their great fiberglass work, and this Cobra is no exception. The car's virtually flawless profile, showcasing the typically tight tolerances that have become a huge hallmark, lays excellent groundwork for a wet looking coat of glossy PPG silver Pearl. That 2-stage was applied at a professional finishing shop as part of a 2-year assembly that wrapped up in late 2009. Since silver Pearl is always best when mixed with something else, the car's slick profile was detailed with Black stripes. And today, this super slick Cobra is a race-bred street king that's puts a refreshing twist on a timeless American classic. Detailing is crucial on a replica because that's where a lot of cars start to disappoint. Fortunately, you can tell the overall impression of one of these Cobras from about ten feet away. And naturally, since were featuring it, this roadster hits all the right visuals! A sculpted hood anchors an integrated scoop between locking latches and billet Auto pins. Behind that hood, a stainless-trimmed windshield hangs a small mirror in front of clear wind wings and visors. At the sides of the car, polished exhaust pipes frame. And at the back of the car, a polished roll bar leads the eye to chrome-trimmed taillights, a locking trunk and two more satin quick lifts. ENGINE Great looks are only part of this Cobra's appeal: it also does a very good job of going really fast and making lots of awesome noise! Remove the car's tidy hood and you'll find a 347 cubic inch Ford stroker motor with an awesome DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Rule number one of hot rodding: an excellent drivetrain isn't worth the metal it's built from unless it's paired with a competent chassis. Behind this Cobra's hot small block, a poly-mounted, shrouded Tremec TKII 5-speed pairs a steel Ford Motorsport flywheel with a Weber clutch. That tough transmission spins a custom driveshaft, which is hooked to a Ford 8.8-inch axle stuffed with 3.27 gears. That axle pushes a 3-link that's outfitted with coil-overs, a sway bar and a banana bracket. Opposite that rear end, an independent front-half hangs tubular control arms and two more coil-overs between Mustang spindles and a second sway bar. That suspension is guided by power rack-and-pinion steering, which mixes and Stops come courtesy of manual disc brakes, which pair calipers with two rotors. Power meets the pavement through Legend 17 inch wheels with Kuhmo tires. INTERIOR Take one look at the accompanying specs sheet and you'll see that this roadster was built to keep. And even though its cockpit still honors the purist nature of a no-nonsense, track-shredding sports car, many well-planned details ratchet up both comfort and appeal. Lightweight seats stretch tight leather hides under heavy-duty safety harnesses. In front of those seats, a super clean dash founds reliable Guages that all work between a 12-volt outlet, a self-canceling turn signal switch. At the sides of that dash, lightweight doors hang custom panels inside sill trim. Below those doors, custom Loop Carpet anchors a Pro-5.0 shifter between a custom-dropped foot box and floor mats. At the center of that carpet. The driver feels the asphalt through a nice steering wheel, which laps assorted foot pedals. The passenger stows cargo in a carpeted trunk. And high quality Second Skin insulation works with Cobra foot box vents to combat the big engine's heat.
