Up for auction is a 2005 VW Jetta 2.5 with the new body style. The car does not start. It attempts to crank but does not turnover. I suspect the timing chain jumped and this it will need engine work and/or a new engine. The transmission was shifting smoothly before it was taken off the road. The car has a clean NYS title and was purchased in 2009 with about 78k. It was recently inspected in Jan.2015 and was taken off the road in April after it would not start. Both fenders have dents as pictured. The bigger dent on the driver side was caused from an incident with a mailbox last winter and is purely cosmetic but also caused the driver side door to come out of alignment and now rubs on the body(pictured). The interior is in fair condition and smells lightly of smoke. The windshield and passenger side mirror are also cracked. Please view the pictures for a better idea of the condition. I will show the car to anyone who is interested and you will need a tow truck or some other means of moving it to your location. This is a NO RESERVE auction so the highest bidder wins.
