Car is being relisted due to buyer not having funds. Please only bid if you have intention of following through with your purchase. I have for sale a 1969 428 Cobra Jet Mustang. Everything mechanical on the car from the fuel filler tube to the front suspension has been replaced with high quality restoration parts. Every fuel line, brake line, front and rear suspensions, are new. The motor, transmission, rear end and everything connected has been rebuilt to factory specs and all has less than 1000 miles. Third member is nodular - I switched out the 323 gears for a 391 with new posi unit. Included are several pictures that show the quality of the car. Odometer reads 77,000. I have no idea if that's original, but when I purchased the car, the last dated inspection and licensing was 1975 in Webb City, MO. The previous owner got the car from Webb City so I believe the car was ordered, delivered and resided in Southern Missouri until I purchased the car in 2007. I replaced the dash pad, seat covers and door panels. I have the original parts for everything that has been replaced, including the original exhaust, intake, interior, wheels, etc. Car has new Magnum 500 wheels and radial TA tires - all with less than 1000 miles. I believe everything to be original to the car. All body panels seem to be original. Car has a lot of chips and dings. I believe it to be original paint. Paint does not show nearly as good as it looks in the pictures. There is a lot of patina. The underside of the car is extremely clean. The shock towers are great, torque boxes are great. I have included pictures of the underside of the car, and pictures of the shock towers and torque boxes will be added by end of day Monday. With regard to rust, there's small amounts in lower corners of both doors which is really common and a small amout on the trunk lid which is also very common. I have attached pictures that show closeups of all the rust on the car. I bought car with every piece of mechanical rebuilt and the car runs and drives like new. It just needs body and paint to look like new. Car has power steering and power brakes. I have the Marti Report that I will share the full report with any serious buyers. The car was ordered from Dan Stanley Motors in Joplin, MO on 1/6/1969. It was scheduled for build on 1/27/1969, was actually built on 2/7/1969, and was released on 2/10/1969. At that time, with the US economy performing poorly, the car appraised for $45,000. This was before several thousand dollars of work was put into the car.
