Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE! Fuzzy Dice AutosHas up for auction a rare and quality driver 1969 Corvair convertible with an automatic transmission. The 69 is the very last year of the Corvair and probably the most sought after one by the Corvair collector community. This is a California car with a mere 49,289 original miles that's been well preserved and always garaged kept. It's rust free and very solid. That includes its under carriage. The paint has a very nice shine with only minimal road nicks that can only be seen close up.The glass, tires, weather stripping and convertible top are all very good. The convertible top however needs to be operated manually. Not certain why the power source is inoperable. Could possibly need a new motor. But having said that, the top is easy to work by one person. The interior is in very nice blemish free condition. The seats, carpeting, door panels and dash are all very nice. The gauges all work as they should. The car runs and drives very well. She goes down the road straight, quick and stops on a dime. The two speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly without hesitation.Like I said, the 69 is the last year for the classic Corvair that is steadily rising in collector value. So if you're in the market for a neat car and sound investment, than this one's for you. This is a NO RESERVE action meaning the high bidder when the auction ends gets to take this American time piece home. All we ask is you first-time eBay members contact us before placing your bid. And please be certain that if you win you have full intentions of completing the transaction.Best of luck bidding! On Oct-05-15 at 08:09:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Only 521 Corvair Convertibles were produced in 1969 Note that the VIN # 518 would mean that this particular Corvair is the third to the last ever produced! Doesn't come a whole lot more rare than that!!On Oct-05-15 at 11:19:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Additionally: Thanks to an eBay client who discovered that our Corvair came with a manual convertible top and not a mechanical one having a faulty mechanism as I first thought. Thanks to him for correcting me!
