I was told by a SUZUKI Dealer that this is the Very Latest & Very Most Advanced SUZUKI PE 400 that was Sold here in the USA !!!!! I think This STUNNING , VERY SPIRITED & GOOD RUNNING Bike is a DREAM ! These PE 400 bikes are FAR MORE FORGIVING & Less Explosive to Ride as compared to a RM 400 as they have a little more Torque & are Far More Controllable for the Typical Dirt Racer....* * PLEASE NOTE: this PE 400 (a PE is ~like an RM W/Lights SUZUKI Is I think this is "The VERY last year of the FAR Simpler & FAR More RELIABLE & DURABLE Vintage RACE-ABLE Air Cooled Two Stroke Engines & I believe this is the First YEAR of the Vintage Raceable DUAL SHOCK HEAT TREATED "ALLOY" REAR SWING ARM SUSPENSION SYSTEM" this makes this PE 400 FAR MORE like a RM 400 than earlier PE 400's & Best of all these are designed for Day Or Night Off Road ENDURO's Etc etc Dirt Racing...I have sold several of these SUZUKI PE's and YAMAHA IT's to people that make them into a more Street " Bobber " (Cafe Racer) Bike .. (3 went to just Miami Florida ! this year) I also have a Head Light & a Tail Light assemblies for her, & She has a Just Rebuilt Spark Arrestor Muffler, I also have a SPEEDOMETER that I can give you & also Her PE 400 SIX DAY TRAILS CHRONOMETER / Fractional Mile indicator for WORLD CLASS "INTERNATIONAL SIX DAY TRAILS" Dirt RACING & Dirt ENDURO RACING & this could also be Used for Vintage Moto-Cross RACING ... She is a Fairly LOW HOUR Bike that was owned by an older gentleman & she sat in Covered Storage for the Majority of her Life..(Again, his was owned by an older Gentleman who owned this for many years & this has always been a "Southern California Bike" as she has been here in CALIFORNIA to the best of my knowledge the Bulk of her Life !!! & Best of all She STARTS SUPER EASY & just as she sits She RUNS Overall Pretty GOOD ( I think the New "FLAT SLIDE" carb may be jetted a little lean at idle ) & More Importantly she appears that she was used Very Little in Her lifetime (Look at Her Original 1983 Seat Which still looks Great !!!!) & more recently has had a Significant Engine Restoration with many changed out & Upgraded Engine parts a Also a BRAND NEW ENGINE Top End (IE) BRAND NEW Engine's Factory SUZUKI Crank Shaft Seals, Factory SUZUKI Piston & Rings, Cylinder Base Gasket & Head Gasket, Brand New High Performance Flat Slide Carb, many components of her Ignition parts were also changed out etc, etc etc s !!!! She is Currently Registered here in Southern California & I have the State of CALIFORNIA TITLE & she was currently on Non Operation status with the Sate of California DMV..This is a Easy Starting bike & She has always Started Right Up & Runs pretty good (Again, as mentioned above etc ...I think she could use some fine tuning with the new carb. as I think she may be running a little lean at idle )..She does Start Easy+Runs fairly Good but someone may need to work out the final carburetor etc. adjustments as I think she may be a little lean at idle? & may need a Sl. Larger approx. $2 idle jet.)..Her TRANSMISSION" + Clutch & Brakes etc. ALL Work GREAT!!!! Again ,The Original Owner just installed a NEW SUZUKI Piston+Rings etc, & installed a NEW "Flat Slide" High Performance Carb. The Bike Starts+Runs Pretty good but will need someone to"dial in"the new Racing Flat slide Carb.ETC. (that I know absolutely nothing about??) Again, She does start Easy+Runs fairly good but someone will need to work out the final carburetor etc adjustments as Again, I think she may be a little lean at idle? So my price is well under what a bike with this much Upgrading & Rebuilding should typically sell for. This Vintage Racing 1983 SUZUKI PE 400 has her Original SUZUKI Tuned Exhaust & her Vintage Spark Arrestor Muffler . & She Looks to have Her Original Factory SUZUKI PE 400 upholstered seat. We also Cleaned the Entire Fuel system & added a Quality Inline Fuel Filter & her Original Owner added a Brand New Air Cleaner Element, Repacked & Restored Her Spark Arrestor & "We Installed The VERY BEST "MODAL" Trans Mission Oil". The Front and rear suspension visually looked good & it's Suspension seals did not appear to be leaking at this time so other than to clean them & refinished the lower Alloy fork legs etc etc (IE) as far as fluid levels etc. they are just as we received them and we have not tested the suspension as we are just now getting the Bike Running again & completing the cosmetic restoration on this Beautiful Bike, Over and Beyond this...In Her Cosmetic Restoration process..We removed most every main component on the bike...nearly all the way down to her "Bare Engine/Frame" + Cleaned & refinished most every main component then hand reassembled ~every main item back onto her frame again "Piece by Piece".. She has I believe her Original Vintage SUZUKI Fuel tank that was extremely clean inside (as You should be able to see in the included pictures) we repainted her & added Brand New SUZUKI Graphic were just installed. We also cleaned, painted & refinished the; Frame, Hubs, Spokes, Exhaust Pipe (Tuned Exhaust system) & Her Spark Arrestor Muffler & Headlight etc& we repainted her Nice Front fender & her rear fender etc.& we painted everything to match to a look very close to what I think a new one of these PE 400's & RM's would have looked NEW like back in 1983. We installed Brand New High Quality Vintage style rubber handlebar Hand Grips. Her Transmission Gears Shift GREAT Her Clutch Releases & Grips GREAT just coming out of Dry Storage Important thing is the Clutch does Grip GREAT & the more she runs the better it should work. She has BRAND NEW Gear Box OIL "MODOL" which is said to be the Very Best Gear oil you can get) She has her Original Fork Tube Rubbers which I think look & Feel almost like Brand New looking Rubber Fork Tube Boots, She has almost "BRAND NEW" looking Vintage style MX Racing handlebars. Unlike most race bikes this also has a side stand, That can be easily & Quickly removed (with one bolt) if you would like to..Also, you can lift the bike on a Race Bike Stand & also I believe, she has updated clutch & front brake levers have also been updated along the way. Like Her Original PE 400 seat cover etc ...The Shifter , Clutch, Brakes, kick Starter Levers All seems to work GREAT & do not appear to have any noticeable wear & or damage to them : PLEASE NOTE: We are just completing her Brand New cosmetic Restoration (as detailed above etc)...& "YOU" can be the Very First Owner of this Beautiful Bike since this was completed !
