Vehicle Detail
1989 BMW 325i Convertible 2.5L I6 - Alpine White w/ Tan Leather Interior I purchased this beauty in summer 2009 from the original owner in Thousand Oaks, CA. I had searched for months and nothing compared to the low miles and condition. This car has been impeccably kept from the very beginning. The original owner used this only as his weekend car and kept garaged when not being used. When I purchased, the gentleman had a folder with all maintenance/upkeep invoices, which I have kept and added to since - essentially all documentation since the car’s purchase has been retained - I even have the original dealership retail sticker. All maintenance invoices have been kept and the car has been maintained regularly with sole use of factory BMW parts. Some notable maintenance and upkeep items that have been invested over the past years are as follow: Brand new convertible soft topAll leather seats have been completely reupholstered and restored to factory conditionSuspension system has been replaced with factory BMW suspension systemDifferential has been replaced with factory BMW differential systemBrand new factory BMW radiator and coolant system New factory BMW alternator and brand new batteryRoutine engine upkeep service to repair any leaks, everything is sealed tightAlways used synthetic oil and changed regularly every 3,000 - 5,000 miles I want to say how much of a joy this car is to drive. It feels solid, safe and takes turns tightly. The engine purrs beautifully. I have taken it on many trips up and down California and it has been a wonder to drive, reliable and has timeless style. I have gotten many compliments throughout my ownership to the near flawless condition and had several point blank cash offers to buy it when I was living in LA. I have kept the car clean - I washed and waxed regularly and took for a full detail approximately two times per year. The paint is original and there are virtually no blemishes - there are a few minor nicks just rear of the passenger side door that existed when I purchased from the original owner. It’s been hard to actually get myself to list this beaut for sale. I moved to New York City last year and left this baby in California as I did not want to subject it to the harsh NYC streets and winters. My parents have kept a close eye while I have been gone and have regularly driven on the weekends for leisure. They have often kept the car garaged and when not, they have kept it covered in a custom fit car cover (by Covercraft) I bought prior to leaving California. I have been back home often since, and have had the opportunity to re-embrace California’s high cliff switchbacks that just feel like this car was made for. It’s time to let someone else carry on the legacy and keep her alive and shining. It will truly be sad to see this car go - it has been a defining symbol of my young adult life and there have been many unforgettable memories, most prominent of which would be driving Highway 1 up the coast with my girl. Additionally, the car has been used in a fashion photo shoot (see pictures). Notes from Prior Inquiries: No rust. The car has stayed in Southern California, and if you have been reading the news, that place might as well be the Sahara desert right now.Minor nicks rear of the passenger side door that existed when purchased from the original owner.Very tiny dent (but no paint chipping) on the driver side of the hood, only visible when looking closely over the surface in bright sun.Minor paint blemishing/peeling on the rear view light cap on top of the trunk (as far as I know, the light cap is removable from the trunk and replaceable).Driver side sun visor is peeling on one side - cheap to replace.Original BMW Owners Manual and tool kit (in trunk) are included.Viewings welcome - please message me and I'll setup a date and time for you to view.
