Vehicle Detail

Same owner since 1988! I have not had the time or resources to restore this sweet beast and would like for it to go to someone who can take the time to fix it up properly. Car is originally from Southern CA, stored in a garage or covered in a carport until 5 yrs ago when I relocated to Portland, OR. It's been covered but not garaged, so exposed to more of the elements. As I mentioned, this is not restored. I have 3 of the original hubcaps, but one is missing the Mustang centerpiece. The car has had a locking gas cap for years, though I have the original, which is quite cracked. Details: Body - paintjob is > 20 yrs old, but looks pretty good. Has minor chips and scrapes. Rear bumper got pushed in at one point, but this is pretty minor. Also minor dent in front of hood. Interior - backseat interior looks pretty great considering its age. Front seats have been covered since I got it, are pretty torn. Carpet and headliner will need to be replaced as well. Minor surface rust on interior door panels. Instrument panel and dash are in good shape. All windows/windwings roll down properly except for the rear passenger, which is wired shut. Mechanically - As I mentioned, I've had this car for > 25 yrs. I've only had enough work done on it to keep it running decently over the years (my dad being the mechanic for many of those years), so the details of its mechanical strengths and weaknesses are scant. I do have my repair records (in case you're interested ). The motor and transmission have been good. The carburetor was rebuilt within the last few years. Heater core box recently started leaking - the leak has been repaired, hoses hooked up together to keep cooling system functional, but now heater core needs replacement. Radiator was replaced years ago, but works like a champ. Suspension system will need some attention. Unfortunately, there is minor-moderate rusting on the chassis and underneath the hood - the latter is fairly well-illustrated in the photo. The car is a looker and gets lots of attention out on its drives, and will be a great car once it gets more TLC! I will answer any mechanical questions to the best of my ability. I'm also happy to provide any additional/more detailed photos. This will be listed locally as well. Thanks for your interest!
