Vehicle Detail

This is a very nice 1936 5window coupe that looks fantastic and gets a lot of attention. It has been channeled over a shortened S10 chassis so it has manual disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. Front suspension has coil springs with new tube shocks and the rear has leaf springs with air shocks. There is a 12V air compressor in the battery compartment (located in the trunk floor) so you can lower or raise the rear of the car. Steering is manual rack and pinion. The drive train (per the previous owner) consists of a 355 SBC with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, polished aluminum intake and valve covers and ram horn headers. The transmission is a GM 350 with a shift kit and the rear is a GM 10 bolt. The coupe runs, drives and sounds great and is a reliable driver. The body is Henry Ford steel with glass fenders, running boards and fender skirts. The paint is in great condition and shines like a "mother", but is not without some brush touched ups and stress cracks. Remember, this is a driver and not a trailer queen. The roof and running boards are covered in white vinyl. The wide whites are Coker Classics (1 1/2 years old) and in excellent condition. There is also a set of "trash can" wheel covers that are included. The bucket seat interior is a very nice blue valour and tweed material that is free of any rips/tears or wear. It steers via an aftermarket banjo steering wheel mounted on a GM tilt column with functional signal lights and headlight dimmer switch. Tunes, if desired, are thru a Kenwood remotely controlled AM/FM/CD unit mounted above the rear view mirror with dual speakers mounted on the rear package shelf. A power antenna is frenched into the rear deck. All windows are lightly tinted, free of any chips/cracks and operate as the should. Also, the windshield cranks out and the rear window cranks down. With the exception of the speedo (no cable), all gauges (water temp, oil pressure and gas) are in working order. I use the speed feature on my GPS in lieu of the speedo. The windshield wiper is in working electric unit wired into the steering column switch. The coupe also has a working heater that will keep you toasty warm on those cool nights. I know this is a long description, but I wanted to provide as much information as possible, so you can determine if it's a coupe you want to pursue. PLEASE ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING . Contact me at 315-303-4389 or lbkorsz@hotmail.com and I will do my best to provide you with honest answers (NO BS) The coupe is being offered as is where is with no warranties or guarantees expressed written or implied. NOTE: New York does not issue titles for vehicles this old so the transferable registration is what is used to transfer ownership. I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time if the coupe becomes unavailable as is advertised elsewhere.
