1988 Nissan 300 ZX Turbo Shiro Edition - 68,000 original miles and garaged since new. In 1988 the Shiro Edition debuted with pearl white paint, stiffer springs and matched shocks, heavy duty anti sway bars. a unique front air dam, paint matched wheels, Recaro seats with matching door panels, painted bumperettes, white door handles and a viscous limited slip differential. The Tokyo-by-night digital instrumentation was replaced with a 150 MPH speedo and tachometer with white number on black faces. No options were available for the Shiro, which is Japanese for white. It was the fastest car out of Japan capable of 153 mph speeds, as tested by Motor Trend with the electronic speed limiter disabled. A total of 1002 were produced for the US market between January and March 1988. The only available transmission was the Asian built five speed manual and was not available in automatic. The Shiro came with a special three-stage Moon Glow Pearl paint that just about covered every exterior surface, including the wheels. The Shiro does come standard with T-tops, power windows, locks and mirrors, cruise control, air conditioning, and a four speaker stereo with AM/FM tape deck and a power antenna. The air conditioning was retrofitted to 134A with new valves and compressor. The Shiro Edition stickered for $25,000 and all Shiros were equipped the same, no substitutions or additional options were available from the factory. This vehicle is in excellent condition and could be a unique addition to any car collection. The car has been garaged for the duration of it's ownership, 6 years in New York and the remaining 21 years in Florida. There are ID tags located on the lower struts that identifying the car as a SS model - Shiro Edition with limited production and a rare edition, the value of this vehicle could only appreciate. In reference to the slight blemish on the vehicle history report, the vehicle was put on a lift and the frame was checked from underneath. There are no signs of replaced structural items or any signs of welding. There is a dent in the metal, bottom of frame (engine cradal), at the front end where it appears that the car may of run over something at one time. The driver's side fender has been refinished and that is the only thing we can determine from the recorded history report. We have receipts showing the car has recently had a new battery installed, regular oil changes, has has a master cylinder replaced, had leaking valve cover gaskets replaced, has had a tuneup and all fluids checked regularly, has had the thermostat replaced as well as new coolant , had a temperature gauge replaced because it was inoperative!! Also found a receipt for an extended warranty!!! Vehicle relist due to winning bidder not following through with the transaction. This vehicle up for auction and being sold at no reserve!
