NO IT IS NOT A TRAILER QUEEN, THE PAINT IS NOT PERFECT IT WAS MECHANICALLY RESTORED TO ENJOY AS A DRIVER. THIS CAR IS CURRENTLY LICENSED AND REGULARLY DRIVEN ALL OVER THE AREA I LIVE IN. ENGINE, PROFESSIONAL REBUILT BY MG SPECIALIST WHO BUILT THE 1250 ENGINE OUT FOR PERFORMANCE, DONE IN 2013 ONLY A COUPLE OF HUNDRED MILES SINCE REBUILD. NO IT IS NOT A RACE CAR, BUT THE GOAL WAS TO INCREASE PERFORMANCE BY SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASING HP. THE MECHANIC BELIEVE HP WAS INCREASED FROM STANDARD 52 TO APPROXIMATELY 80 HP. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT THE NEED TO ADD A TURBO CHARGER. I WILL BE ADDING DETAILS ON THE REBUILD, BUT I SPENT OVER $7500.00 ON A COMPLETE REBUILD WITH NEW EVERYTHING! THIS WAS A TOTAL REBUILD TO THE HIGHEST STANDARD, CAM, CRANK, PISTONS, OIL PUMP, DISTRIBUTOR, ETC. a. Rebuilt Oil Pump b. Port and Polish Head c. New Water Pump d. all hoses and connections are new or rebuilt. e. crank, cam, pistons, new hard values to run unleaded premium gas, rods, etc. ENGINE REBUILD INCLUDED PERFORMANCE CAM, REBUILT OIL PUMP, REBUILD DISTRIBUTOR, NEW PISTONS, CRANK SHAFT, CAM SHAFT, ETC. 2. TRANSMISSION REBUILT RECENTLY BY CHRIS A COSTA MESA MG SPECIALIST WHO RECENTLY RETIRED. MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL MG CLUB WILL KNOW HIM AND HIS WORK AS ONE OF THE LEADING EXPECTS ON THE MGTD, I HAVE RECEIPT DONE IN 2013. 3. REBUILT FRONT SHOCKS, NOT AVAILABLE NEW WHEN THIS WAS DONE A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, COST OF THE PARTS ALONE $1500.00 4, NEW BADGE BAR AND NEW RUNNING LIGHTS PROFESSIONAL INSTALLED AND WIRED CORRECT WITH FUSES. 5. HEATER, THIS WAS NOT AVAILABLE ON THIS MODEL UNDER LATER MODELS, BUT I BOUGHT A REBUILT ORGINALARNOLT HEATER RESTORED EVEN WITH THE CORRECT DECALS. I HAD IT PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED BY CANYON GERMAN IN LAGUNA BEACH WHO HAS DONE WORK ON THIS TD. THEY MANUFACTED PARTS NECESSARY TO HOOK UP THE HEARING AND INSTALL CONTROLS. COST ABOUT $1500.00 6. REBUILT DISTRIBUTOR BUILT TO PERFORMANCE STANDARDS. 7. REBUILT RADIATOR, NEW WATER PUMP, NEW HOSES ALL AROUND. 8. REBUILD OIL PUMP DONE WITH ENGINE. 9. NEW TIRES 10. REBUILT FRONT END. 11. ALL NEW BRAKES AND REBUILD ENTIRE BRAKING SYSTEM. 12. NEW STARTER AND BATTERY. 13. VERY NICE NUMBERS MATCHING CAR 14. REAR END UPGRADED TO HIGHER RATIO GEARING TO ALLOW FOR HIGHER SPEEDS. 15. ALL NEW EXHAUST FROM FRONT TO BACK STAINLESS STEEL. 16. CHROME RADIATOR COVER RE DONE 2013. WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THIS CAR MANY YEARS AGO, IT HAD TROUBLE CLIMBING THE MILE HILL TO MY HOUSE. SINCE THE RECENT REBUILD IT CAN EASILY CLIMB MY HILL AND IS A JOY TO DRIVE. AS WITH ALL MGTD'S IT LEAKS A LITTLE OIL EVEN WITH BRAND NEW SEALS. NEGATIVES: EVEN WITH NEW ENGINE AND SEALS STILL LEAKS OIL I PUT A PAN UNDER THE ENGINE WHILE PARKED IN MY GARAGE. AS I MENTIONED THE PAINT HAS CHIPS AND IS IN GOOD CONDITION FOR A DRIVER, BUT TO SHOW THE CAR WOULD NEED TO BE TOUCHED UP OR REPAINTED IF YOU WISH TO SHOW THE CAR. INTERIOR IS ORIGINAL WITH NEW FLOOR MATS, NEW SIDE PLASTIC WIND DEFLECTORS.
