Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a very good running and driving 1975 Pontiac Grandville Convertible that is ready for a full restoration. This vehicle may be one of the most optioned 1975 Convertibles built including auto temperature control air conditioning and the AM/FM 8 track tape player. The ORIGINAL window sticker is present and is highlighted in one of the pictures. All of the trim has been removed from the vehicle. From a review of the trim, it appears to be all there. The trim is in good condition except for two of the wheel well trim pieces that has some extensive pitting. The convertible top works well and works with the power top button. All of the power windows work as well as the radio and power seat option. We have not tried the cruise control. The seats are in good condition except for the driver's side which has tape on it. The carpet will need replaced. The white convertible top has imperfections and will need to be replaced. The title on his vehicle is free and clear. It is accidently titled as a 1973. This will be corrected by me prior to delivery of the vehicle at my expense. I have seen this numerous times on PA titled vehicle. This vehicle is being sold as is where is, but you can bid with confidence. A $500.00 deposit is due 24 hours after the end of the auction. Once you come an inspect the car if it is not what you expected, the entire deposit will be refunded immediately. The remainder of the balance due is payable prior to pick up of the vehicle. This vehicle has huge potential and its documentation is excellent. Its mechanical attributes are well above average for a restoration project but it will need repainted and other restoration work completed. Please look at the pictures carefully and ask any questions that are important prior to to bidding. If you have zero to 5 feedbacks, please email me prior to bidding. Thanks for looking! On Jul-23-15 at 18:46:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Thank you for all of the questions and interest. I have added more pictures of the car and highlighting several defect areas. There is some filler and rust on several lower panel areas of the car. The car is straight, but the lower portions of the rear quarters, doors and fenders exhibit some rust and filler. The rear bumper is straight but does have some surface rust. The front bumper has some blemishes but is missing the mounting bracket/backer plate. The trim is off the car. I have reviewed the trim and find that the main rocker trim is missing on both sides. The door trim and the quarter trim is present. The hood spear is also present with the front emblem. The under carriage is good. There is only one area on the rear floor pan that has any rust at all. This area is highlighted in one of the new pictures. The vehicle runs and drives much better than average for a restoration project. The brakes are excellent and the transmission shifts smoothly. There is no question the vehicle is an excellent restoration candidate but it does need restoration work.
