Vehicle Detail

2008 BMW 335xi xDrive V6 Twin Turbo for sale. Responsible adult owned. Good condition and a blast to drive. Very sharp looking, fast, and fuel efficient vehicle. Car is fully loaded with every option possible on the 335 that year. Automatic transmission. Two sets of wheels (summer/winter). Terms: certified check, cash, or PayPal (no personal checks). JB3 Tuner installed (see below). If you live locally, bring a copy of current insurance and driver's license if you'd like to test drive. I live by the Cannonsburg Ski hill in Grand Rapids, MIHere's the goods: Stylish black on black 2 door coupe Sport, premium, and cold weather packages. All wheel drive (xDrive), works great in the winter Twin Turbo V6 engine (great gas economy to power ratio) Black leather seats good condition, programmable seats for 2 drivers, auto dimming mirrors, highly adjustable sport bucket seats, ski tube cargo access with ski case (OEM), premium sound package, Bluetooth, iPod compatible with adapter included (old style), moon roof, CD player, DVD Navigation system, Keyless entry memorizes all electronic and communication preferences set by driver. Heated front seats rear window and mirrors. Never smoked in, always garage kept. Has car cover included in sale. Summer wheels (tires and rims) on 19" M Style wheels. Can't remember, but the summers are either Kuhmo Ecstas or Hancook Ventus V12s. Bought new last summer and not installed this spring, but will be bagged and in vehicle upon purchase. This is a non staggered set. OEM Tire pressure monitors installed. Winter wheels (tires and second set of rims for 8 total) on same 19" M Style wheels with Bridgestone Blizzak tires (staggered). Currently on the car and likely will need replacement rubber soon. Powder coat starting to peel in places. Could be recoated or blacked out if one cares (I didn't). Also has OEM Tire pressure monitors installed. Steering wheel sport paddle shifters ~350 HP with conservative enthusiast upgrades:Berger Motorsports JB3 Tuner (adds ~30 HP with 93 octane and BMS air intake ~10 HP)Driven conservatively and never left tuner Map 3 which is the most subtle. Look online, never a problem with this tune anywhere with thousands of vehicles. Makes this car a little more of a beast and is VERY noticeable over stock. I have original intake for new owner if wanted. I never measured it, but I estimate a low to mid 4 second 0-60. It's fast if you want it to be. After 162K miles without a problem, like many others, feel this is how it should have come from the factory. Efficient fuel economy especially for a sports car. Upper 20s on highway and low 20s city. I've gotten over 30 mpg on highway trips before. Very efficient V6 twin turbo engine. Comes with both summer (carpet) and winter mats (rubber). All OEM BMW Rear bathtub rubber cargo mat also OEM Trailer hitch with 4 pin functional lighting (clean install) with 7/8" ball included (never really used - see below) Clean title in hand. Can't find owner's manual but is easily available online for download. Here's the not so good, but I believe in full disclosure and honesty (not out to scam anyone):Bear in mind this is an 8 year old vehicle with 162,2XX miles (it's not brand new). Expect normal wear and tear and maintenance. As is vehicle sale and no warranty implied.Vehicle history report should show an accident. I slid into a curb during a blizzard and hit the rear passenger wheel against a curb. It bent the rear wheel carrier and it was fully replaced (not repaired) and is back to 100% perfect working condition. The arms that are supposed to hand the front seat belts to you don't work (they move, but don't always grab the seatbelt on their way forward). This never bothered me, but is a reach for someone not used to it.The front grille inserts are cracked from me sliding into a snow bank (what's up with me and snow!?!). The inserts can be bought inexpensively from eBay and installed, just haven't taken the time to do it, but did a search and they're readily available.Trailer hitch throws up a red flag if I were a buyer, but I never used it. I had aspirations of towing my jetski, but again, little kids and family are time better spent and I don't drive this car, let alone my jetski as result.Check engine light comes on often. This is due to the catalytic converter starting to lose some of its function. It does not affect performance of the vehicle in any way, just an emissions thing (would have to be fixed if you live in California or state requiring emissions testing). The dealership has confirmed the fault codes several times for me and this it all it is.About 2-3 times per year, the car will randomly go into decreased engine output mode (protective, aka -- limp mode). The car drives safely, just doesn't accelerate like normal. Every time this has occurred, turning the car off, then back on has cleared it. I think it's a result of the tuner, but the dealership said it happens to the turbo BMWs without the tuner as well. It seems to be from a cold start up a hill that triggers it most. Bottomline, I'm disclosing, but it's really of no concern.Snow tires are likely short on life and have a subtle wiggle when driving 50-60 mph. I think a wheel is very slightly out of balance. Snow tire rims require fitment rings to fit the hubs fyi. The business switching from summers to winters for you will know how to install this part if not able to remove those already installed without damage.Passenger side roof support inside leather is rather scuffed up from taking a baby carrier (and baby) in and out of the back seat repeatedly (A PITA and hence a new car purchase). I tried to picture that.Light door dings from parking lots etc. I tried to photo that too (more on passenger side)She's due for an oil change soon. Always full synthetic. My SUV to replace this car given recent additions to the family was shipped flawlessly through Montway Auto Transport and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend they give you a quote if you plan to ship this car.Not to be a jerk, but winning bid is a contract and legal action will be sought for non paying bidders. Serious buyers only. Immediate down payment of $1000 required within 24 hrs via Paypal.
