“UNBELIEVABLE / HEAD TURNING” 1969 FORD CONVERTIBLE MUSTANG {112K actual miles} DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! “TWO OWNER CAR / EXCELLENT CONDITION” *SOLID/ STRONG RUNNER* DELUXE INTERIOR WITH AIR (A/C)!!! There is entirely too much that can and should be said about this particular classic pony. It is truly hard to figure out just where to start. Finding a classic Mustang that has had limited ownership is always special but, finding a two owner vintage pony that has been pampered is truly amazing!!! Many argue that 1969 was the pinnacle year for the Ford Mustang. Whenever considering the beauty & performance that was displayed during that model year most agree. This beautiful 1969 Ford helps to validate that argument “she’s a real conversation piece”! The car was originally sold to a gentleman in Nashville Tennessee in the fall of 1969. The original owner ordered the car from Crown Ford with A/C. It was a priorty for him since he was from up East. The second owner stated how difficult it was for him to adjust to the heat. The second owner also told me how anxious he was to get the call to come and pick it up from the dealership. He explained how he waited with anticipation for this car which made me feel Blessed to acquire it. She also recounted how long her & her husband looked for a really nice Mustang. Their quest went on for years until this pony came along! At any rate the original owner of the car relinquished ownership in 1996. He actually was still taking it to dealership that he purchased it from for routine maintenance and oil changes. When he mentioned the thought of selling it in 1996 the service advisor who was taking care of the car called his sister in law (the second owner) to inform her of the special find & the rest is history. Upon purchasing it she and her husband drove the car to Florida several times (where they had an additional residence). They enjoyed the car for several years following & afterwards garaged it. This beautiful Mustang has only been repainted once. The paint is fairly new. The color is slightly different from the factory (T – Code red). It doesn’t take long for anyone to agree that the color change was a great choice & idea! The paint shade that covers this classic pony now is simply stunning! It seems to give a candy apple red appearance in direct sunlight but fades to deep cranberry burgundy at night / dusk! The exterior finish is smooth and shines wonderfully! This pony keeps the attention of everyone on the road & stops traffic all the time! I am more than confident that the new owner of this Mustang will be happy with its overall appearance! She took second place in a recent car show in St. Louis Mo. The color & paint on the car is not the only reason that it received such accolades! Several other attributes persuaded the judges & crowd the give it this award. Most including me myself would be a bit bias when considering this Blue Ovals Ford racing staple iconic hood scoop & dual sport racing mirrors! The brilliant white racing stripes add just the right touch & compliment the convertible top perfectly! This is a great time to mention that the convertible top is not only in fantastic shape ….it happens to be spank brand new! It is one of the best canvas top offered on the market & is a favorite of most MCA (Mustang Club of America) members. This particular top has the power option & lowers in a split second. The top was service by a well known upholstery vendor in the MidWest (receipts provided). I did not stop with just replacing the top. I wanted to make sure that this vintage Mustang was continued to be cared for with the passion the previous owners displayed & as I promised! The top pads & tacking stripes were replaced along with the top. The header bow is in amazing condition and there is no rust to speak of regarding it either. To sum it up the convertible top & racing stripes are perfect together and garner the praise of almost everyone! Several other exterior items need to be spoken about briefly as well. This pony has superb emblems & Ford Mustang script! Helping to make this car yet more appealing are new upper & lower hood moldings. She also has a new running grill pony & chrome back up lights. The gas cap, NOS wipers and several other items are as well! I am a bit of a perfectionist so although this didn’t need it I went ahead and replaced the bumpers with new factory chrome ones (with new bumper bolts front & rear)!!! The total picture is a Classic Ford Enthusiast Dream she’s ready “SHOW OR GO”! Upon opening the door of this classic Mustang you will quickly appreciate its uniform clean interior! The Raven black deluxe upholstery is in excellent condition! The seat covers are fairly new. Whenever cruising this pony you will immediately recognize how comfortable the seats are. The seat cushions & padding were replaced before the covers were installed. No stone was unturned when restoring this car. As you inspect this cars interior further you will find a nice set of classic Ford factory deluxe door panels. Amazingly original lights are still shinning bright! This Blue Oval takes you back to 45 plus years each & every time you sit behind the wheel!!! The dash pad looks great I believed it has been capped to protect the original one. Included in the deluxe interior package is Fords trademark wood work clock! This clock gives this pony an extra sharp look & better yet it is in immaculate condition! The window cranks are in excellent shape & so are the interior moldings. The complete décor group has a very authentic look! The original steering wheel has been replaced with an absolutely stunning grant wood wheel. The steering looks incredible (the factory wheel is included)! All of the factory glass is in great shape as well as the front windshield. Another fan favorite & special privileged option for some 69 ponies is the nostalgic center console! Let me say confidently that this Mustangs center console is in excellent shape. The console & after market Mustang radio adds plenty of flavor for cruise nights & car corrals! Now we all know that a Mustang is not a Mustang without the hallmark of Ford “V/8 Power”! I am happy to say that the heart and soul of this horse is its STOUT factory 302 engine. The motor is all but totally unmolested! The C-4 transmission has also been completely rebuilt (receipts included)! There are few words that can describe actually just how much of a pleasure this car is to drive!!! What is neglected by most classic car enthusiast was what is & was mainly important to both of the previous owners. The power plant under the hood of this one is more than reliable! There has been a great deal of effort given to maintain this Mustangs integrity. If you have been looking for a classic Mustang that you can enjoy with confidence then look no further! This Mustang actually performs, handles & drives like the low mileage vehicle that it is! General & preventative maintenance was key in preserving this cars current condition. Trying to list every detail would be ridiculous but I will shed some light on the most recent work done. On this car you will find new plugs, wires, cap & rotor. She also has new belts, hoses & thermostat. I didn’t stop there I thought it would be a great Idea to replace the water pump & fuel pump also. The battery was replaced along with many other items. Basically if there was an area of concern that could be addressed with this pony it was taken care of. One of the only components under the hood that has been modified with a more modern durable part is the ultra dependable aluminum radiator! This aftermarket item is probably one of the single smartest parts that one should consider when restoring a classic Mustang! The old school radiators even when replaced with OEM components tend to get hot. The excessive heat robs the car of power and kills performance. “No worries here” the hard work has already been done. This pony is ready to roll!!! One of my favorite items regarding this Mustang are the numerous watermarks & original decals still in place!!! This Mustang is dependable & a pleasure to drive. Finally lets up the ante a bit and look at how this Vintage Mustang makes its appearance. At each corner you will find brand new Magnum 500 wheels with new lug nuts! These wheels have been balanced and are completely damage free. Although it is an option for some…..I never gave a second thought of putting a set of 14 inch wheels on this Mustang. I even bypassed the 15 by seven inch mags also & went with a set of 15x8 inch magnums! They really give the car a bull dog aggressive style stance! They are wrapped a set of spank brand new raised white letter performance tires! Protecting the rockers are a nice set of stainless rocker moldings. The rocker moldings play the perfect part and help make a strong case for Fords idea to add the super Rare “trunk edge moldings”! The Mustang has an amazing growl that provides just the right tone when hitting the freeway. The chambered exhaust system also gives the car a boost in performance. If you have even been involved in the Mustang Hobby or looking to become a first time buyer….Please heed a word to the wise! DON’T RUIN YOUR EXPERIENCE BY PURCHASING A RUSTY VEHICLE!!! THIS IS PROBABLY THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO PAY ATTENTION TO. SOME CARS MAY LOOK GOOD ON THE OUTSIDE BUT UNDERNEATH LURKS A NIGHTMARE OF RUST, HEAVY UNDER COATING & BAD PATCH WORK “THAT CAN COST UNTOLD THOUSANDS TO REPAIR”! HERE DISPLAYED FOR ALL TO SEE ARE THE ROCK SOLID ORIGINAL FACTORY FLOORS WITH SUPERB TORQUE BOXES AS WELL!!! THESE FLOORS ARE ACTUALLY STILL COVERED IN THE FACTORY OVER SPRAY T-CODE RED PAINT! I AM INCLUDING SEVERAL CLOSE UPS! In closing I would like to say that I have owned a few classic Mustang but, this one truly is one of my favorites! I have been known to be a bit of a harsh critic however I feel more than confident saying that the new owner of this vintage Ford will be more than happy (all inspections welcome)!!!
