Vehicle Detail
I'm sad to see it go, but happy to get my garage back. Selling my 1979 Honda Civic CVCC. It runs and drives. The 1.5L 3bbl does not smoke, but the engine does lack power. It has to be driven with the choke on the first notch. It has 164,000 original miles and is a very complete for its age car. It has all the accessories that Honda could offer for 1979. This includes Air Conditioning, the 6 spoke rally rims, Sunroof (not moon roof), Cruise Control, the five speed manual transmission with oak steering wheel and shift knob, and the tachometer with the rally style temp and fuel gauge. I do not know the condition of the AC system other than the fan for the AC in the cabin does work but squeaks. The front rims have brand new tires on them bought online and installed by Les Schawb. The fourth 6 spoke rim is in the spare tire slot (see pictures). I put in a brand new battery, and confirmed that the electrical system works properly as well as all of the lights on the car. The only thing not stock Honda about this car is the exhaust. When I got the car it had been cut off just above the flex pipe under the car. I took the car to a local fab shop and had them put me an aftermarket muffler on just to make it street legal. I've replaced the driver side front wheel bearing and seals, as well as the fuel filters on the car. I have rebuilt the carb and put brand new floats in it. The carb is adjusted to honda spec but without dipping the carb I'm just not sure I got it completely clean. The carb will need work. On the inside of the car the dash has a few cracks, none of them are big but they are there. The choke knob and locking ring are missing, but the rest of the knobs in the car are still there. The side vents in the dash are missing but I do have an entire dash board that goes with the car. The drives seat is torn (see pictures) toward the door side of the seat, and the adjustment for the seat back doesn't like to return to the full up position. The shift pattern is missing out of the oak knob, but all in all both oak items are in good shape. The drivers side inside door panel has a small rip where the window arm has rubbed on it. The rear view mirror isn't in the car but I do have it. The dome light is both missing the cover and bolts to hold it up. The rear seat has a small tear but is mostly just dirty. Both rear side panels are in good shape as well as the paneling on the inside of the hatch. The drivers side carpet is chewed up, but the rest of the carpet in the car is in good shape. On the outside of the car there is a ding in the passenger side rear quarter panel right in front of the tail light. All of the rust on the car is surface rust where the paint has chipped off. the car could definitely use a paint job. The emblem on the hatch is missing, but I have a spare hatch the comes with the car. The nuts that hold the bumper shells on are missing, but I've had no trouble with them staying on. The rubber weather strips on the roof on gone but the metal clips are still there. I've never tried to open the sun roof, but the glass is good and all of the latches are there. This car has a clean title in my name. I have a bunch of extra stuff that comes with this car, boxes of interior pieces such as rear panels, tail lights, steering wheel, seat belts. I also have a complete set of doors and a hatch, as well as a windshield and hatch glass. I also have a box with extra side window glass, some have latches on them. Definitely bring a truck and trailer to pick this car up, there will be a lot of extras. if you have questions about the car, message me though ebay and I'll send you a number to get a hold of me at.
