Vehicle Detail
I bought this shell as a stripped body being prepared for SCCA racing, intending to restore it to street use. I mounted it on a rotisserie, replaced floors, trunk floor, had it media blasted inside and out. It was stripped by a shop familiar with classic and collector cars, using plastic media, walnut shells, some glass bead, some silica, to achieve completely clean surfaces with no warpage or damage to delicate sheet metal. From bare metal, it was etched, primed, and painted with single-stage acrylic appropriate for the vintage of the car, in a version of red similar to Alfa Rosso. The undercarriage was coated in urethane coating, similar to bedliner, tinted to match the paint, to protect the underbody from chips, rust or other damage. I have owned the shell for about 20 years; it has been in wrapped, dry storage for over ten years following completion of bodywork. I have no mechanicals for the car at all, no trim, no other parts than the shell as you see it. I have dozens of photos of the restoration process, which I will email upon serious request. Fusi history indicates the car was manufactured as a late 1962 Giulia Spider; S/N AR 101.23.372729 I have no title for the car; it will sell with a Bill of Sale. Contact me through eBay with any questions. I will help the buyer load on your transport; I might include the homemade trolley it is resting on.On Aug-15-15 at 19:48:39 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE:If the buyer is interested, there may be an option on a volume of parts sufficient to complete the car.
