UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1968 MERCURY COUGAR W/ FACTORY 302 V-8. please read carefully for all info available.This car was built in San Jose California and was sold in Burbank CA in 1968. It has been in Southern California its entire life and has absolutely NO RUST. We are the second 3rd owners of this car. We purchased it about a year ago, from a long time friend and work colleague, We have done many upgrades to the suspension, electrical system and made it a well tuned daily driver. The last owner purchased the car in 1982, and was a Hello Kitty designer. about 3 years ago, She designed interior with top quality leather in classic Hello Kitty colors with embroidered logos, carpet was replaced at same time. The paint is about 15 years old, looks good but has some blemishes and a few small dents and dings**please see pic carefully**. If the new buyer wants it perfect, it would need a little bodywork and fresh paint. But it looks pretty good as is . DETAILS: CAR RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT and EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT. Car can be driven everyday or across country if desired. Car has 173K miles with CARBURETED, FACTORY NUMBERS, MATCHING 302 which was rebuilt at 120K AUTOMATIC 3 SPEED TRANS rebuilt at same time. SHIFTS PERFECT has recently been inspected & serviced and has NO ISSUES HERES WHATS NEW : 4 -HIGH PERFORMANCE SHOCKS, 4-BFG T/A 215/70/R14 TIRES, 4-14X6 CRAGAR SS RIMS (with wheel locks), MASTER CYLINDER, BRAKE BOOSTER, BATTERY, HOSES BELTS, ALL ELECTRICAL and VACUUM SYSTEM PROFESSIONALLY GONE THRU AND UPGRADED. dual electric fans ran on a thermostat that will continue to cool, even after car has been shut off. CUSTOM BUILT HIGH OUTPUT 220 AMP ALTERNATOR electrical,vacuum and alternator done by Star electrical monrovia Ca also installed A IN CAB, HOOD PIN LOCK WITH KILL SWITCH. VALVE JOB and CARB REBUILT and compression tested- all great. DUAL EXHAUST WAS REPLACE from HEADERS BACK ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. Flow Masters sound great and all is in excellent condition. 2 months ago ENTIRE SUSPENSION COMPLETELY GONE THRU by Bear Frame and Alignment Azusa Ca. Any needed parts were replaced, but we did not do a full front end rebuild as they said it was not needed. Car travels smooth and straight down the road. EVERYTHING WORKS EXCEPT THE FACTORY CLOCK. FLIP UP HEAD LIGHTS and REAR Sequential Turn Signals IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER.comes with factory steal wheels with older, but good, tires and stock hub caps, 1 is damaged + factory spare. Has Original CA. black and yellow plates. will need new dash pad which cost $180. Comes with NOS factory antenna to be installed by new owner. probably could use new front brake pads in the near future. I have both sets of factory keys. This is a very nice California Cougar, in great shape. Car has been garaged its entire life up until this past year. there is NO RUST ANYWHERE, And it has NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT.
