Rare 1972 Lincoln Mark IV Up For Auction With No Reserve Rare first year Continental Mk IV, early 1972 model with full grille (later 1972 models had a federally mandated safety bumper which covered the lower grille area). 460 V8, 89k. Southern car, has been up in New York for just over three years. Always garaged, never seen winter. Fully optioned Lincoln, production numbers show under 200 early '72 models built with the full grille and power moonroof. Features include dual six position power driver and passenger seats with the passenger seat "lay back" lever, one of the first American cars with that option (nice at night with moonroof open!), disc brakes, cruise control, power front and rear windows, "Sure-Track" (early ABS), posi-traction rear, dual exhaust, working Cartier clock and twilight sentinel headlights. Recent work includes new gas tank and sending unit, new radiator & hoses, high output alternator, a/c system retrofitted to R134, new shocks all around, front end work, full tuneup and brake pads and rotors all around. Original Lincoln wheels and hubcaps with good, correctly sized 15 inch whitewall tires will be remounted for buyer. Cassette player in dash, nothing cut, original 8 track stereo included. Wheels in photos can be included for additional charge. Power windows and moonroof work perfectly, no leaks from moonroof even in car wash, power seats work in all directions.Paint shines like new, chrome in excellent condition, clean underneath, not a blemish, scratch or bubble anywhere. Vinyl top is original and beginning to show its age, I was quoted $800 to replace the full vinyl top in the original style. I can have the work done before pickup, cost to paid by buyer.
