Vehicle Detail

This is a special chance to own a very low mileage project in known condition that is rare. My car was the victim of a fallen tree at the Central National Meet in Brainerd MN, the most severely damaged of all of the cars registered. Unfortunately it was pictured on the TV news, Star Tribune, and in an article in Old Cars Weekly. It has been totaled by my insurance company and I am offering complete as a parts car at this time. If it does not sell I will part it out and sell components. This is a totally unrestored original car. I can certify the history of the car and the mileage to be accurate. A family in Iowa sold it to me in 2008 with 42,000 miles. I did a complete valve job on the car because it had one badly stuck valve. It runs even after the tree damage, no damage occurred to the engine compartment. The running gear is all great, the overdrive and differential are perfect, it runs cool and gets 16+ MPG on the highway when I drove it prior to the tree falling. The interior was not damaged other than the headliner. The seats have Arthur Fullmer seat covers, dealer installed, and are in perfect condition. Door panels were not damaged except for the passenger side upper window surround. Dash has a slight pinch at the right front corner, glove box opens but has a little misalignment. The hood is dented, but I think reusable, as are both front fenders. The fenders do have some rust at the lower joints to the columns. Drivers doors are good and stainless is good except for the two passenger doors, which are bent. Grille is in very good unrestored condition. Bumper front is good, can be used as is, rear is good, has some small rust. Trunk and rear clip are pretty good, with some rust at the lower edges of the fenders. This area was not damaged. Has many accessories, grille bumper guards from the factory and added after market ones. Spotlight and original Mercury road lamps, heaters works perfectly, has passenger vanity mirror, windshield washer minus a glass jar, non glare mirror, backup lights. Original spare in the trunk, has been on the road but still has protective coating and nubbins showing. I have limited pictures but can take more if a prospective buyer has a sincere interest. The car runs so it can be loaded on a transport, would likely need to remove the passengers doors to get clearance on the side. Buyer needs to arrange own transportation. I don't believe the car is restorable without a good donor body, but perhaps with the right skill I could be mistaken.
