Vehicle Detail

I am pleased to present my 1966 Lincoln Continental convertible 4 door. I believe I am the 4th owner of this car. The documentation reflects that the majority of its life, it was owned by a gentleman from NJ, the second owner, however he kept the car in Vero Beach, FL most of the time. He was meticulous in keeping service records etc, and would spend thousands of dollars during his ownership to maintain the car in top condition. He also spent money for numerous upgrades over the years, such as a repaint, canvas top, entire stainless exhaust system, etc which all still present very well. The car has sat in storage for several years when I purchased it from the third owner. We removed the motor and trans( both of which had been rebuilt in the past), and both were serviced. The motor also received the replacement steel timing set that is always recommended, due to the original being made of plastic. In addition we polished the crank, installed new bearings and water diverters, as well as installing new valve seals before resealing the engine. The result is probably one of the smoothest running engines you will ever drive. The trans received a new filter and gaskets as well, and shifts as it should. The radiator has been re-cored and the PS pump and crankshaft resealed before reinstall. As we detailed the engine bay, you can see the recovery of the #88 on the cross member which I assume was the sequence number as the car was assembled on the factory assembly line. The paint, chrome and interior all present well and lend themselves to an overall great driving experience. The fuel tank was removed cleaned and reinstalled with a new fuel sender. The top, windows etc were serviced and all work as originally designed, including the rear windows automatically retract when the rear door is opened. The ac has been serviced changed to 134 and blows ice cold, Whitewall tires are excellent with lots of tread. This is a very high quality driver level car that can be driven anywhere. Please come and inspect the car prior to your bid if you have been looking for 1 of these unique cars. Not many were made and very few still exist in this condition. Please feel free to contact me with your questions and or provide a phone number and I will return your cal. Good luck bidding. On Jul-26-15 at 14:24:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I thought a couple of questions' that have been raised' worth posting, I have no way to state the actual mileage, the odometer shows 28,500 and I assume it has been around once. The car looks like much less tho due to all previous restoration work. All glass is clear including windshield with no fogging or delamination, and they appear to all have correct original carlite logos on each piece. While engine was out, all water and fuel hoses, fluids gaskets, motor mounts, etc were replaced. This was all done less than 500 miles ago and all pictures were taken last week. Thanks for your interest.
