The vehicle currently has 100,976 miles and was removed from service in May 2015 as part of our normal vehicle rotation cycle. The tires have approximately 60 – 70% tread remaining . The front suspension is noisy when going over bumps & imperfections in the roadway, which may require an inspection/replacement of front end suspension components. The engine appears to run well & the interior components (e.g. heat, air conditioner, radio) all appear to work with no problems. The exterior is in poor condition. The front bumper has multiple small dings & surface rust present. The left front turn signal lens is cracked. The hood has a few minor paint chips present. The roof has one plugged & sealed hole present from where a radio antenna was previously mounted. The left front fender has a scratch near the wheel well that is approximately 12 inches long. The driver door has minor paint chips present on the door edge. The driver side b-pillar has dents & surface rust present resulting from the tool box door. The dump bed cab shield is bent backwards. The dump bed has multiple dings, scratches, & surface rust present from normal usage. The lift gate is rusted through & is missing a tailgate pin on the right side. The storage tool box weather stripping is loose around the door edges & three of the doors are missing the door prop rods. The passenger side step bar is missing. The interior is in fair condition. The bench seat is worn through the fabric on the driver side edge & passenger side edge, with some foam worn away. The passenger door is missing the red reflector lens. There are 8 small screw holes present at the lower portion of the center of the dash from where work equipment was previously mounted. This vehicle was serviced on a 120-day preventive maintenance cycle. It was last serviced in Dec 2014 at 97,784 miles. Other repairs to this vehicle include the following. In Jan 2015, at 97,985 miles, the truck was jump started & had the battery recharged. In early Jan 2015, the truck had an engine oil & coolant leak repaired at the local Ford dealership. Also in early Jan 2015, at 97,825 miles, the ignition fuse was replaced. In Dec 2014, at 97,784 miles, the rear brake pads, calipers, & rotors were replaced. In Sept 2014, at 95,857 miles, the electrical wiring for the crane was repaired. In Aug 2014, at 95,121 miles, the right rear upper brake light assembly was replaced. In July 2015, at 94,973 miles, the fuse for the dash lights was replaced. In May 2014, at 93,484 miles, the left front lower marker light & rear marker lights were repaired. Also, the front wheels were rebalanced due to a front end vibration. In July 2013, at 86,879 miles, the lower front bumper guard was repaired. In Apr 2013, at 84,406 miles, the passenger side brake light bracket was repaired & two tail light assemblies were replaced. In Nov 2012, at 81,034 miles, the hydraulic control valve & tank breather were replaced. In Nov 2012, at 80,776 miles, the battery was replaced. In Apr 2012, at 76,141 miles, the tail gate was repaired. In Mar 2012, at 75,108 miles, the crane winch cable was replaced. In Nov 2011, at 71,657 miles, one tire & rim were replaced. In Oct 2011, at 70,361 miles, the lift gate motor was repaired. In July 2011, at 68,933 miles, the lift gate pump motor solenoid was replaced & the vehicle had the transmission repaired at a local transmission repair facility. In April 2011, at 66,412 miles, the front shock absorbers were replaced. Also in April 2011, at 65,922 miles, the torque rod bracket & both sway bar links were replaced. In Mar 2011, at 65,920 miles, the trailer towing light wiring was repaired. In Oct 2010, at 63,000 miles, the cable for the crane pendant control was repaired. Again, in early Aug 2007, at 30,505 miles, the battery, right tail light assembly & license plate light bulb were replaced. In Mar 2007, at 27,442 miles, the lower ball joints were replaced. In Jan 2007, at 26,035 miles, the fuel cap was replaced. In Sep 2006, at 23,558 miles, the battery was replaced. In May 2006, at 20,714 miles, the crane hoist motor was replaced. In Mar 2006, at 18,698 miles, the lift gate controller & both rear mud flaps were replaced. In Feb 2006, at 18,391 miles, the right rear mud flap bracket was repaired & the head light control knob was replaced. In Jan 2005, at 10,494 miles, the left rear lower brake light bulb was replaced. In May 2004, at 1,134 miles, the hoist cable was repaired. This vehicle can be viewed between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays, at the City of Champaign Public Works Department, 702 Edgebrook Drive, Champaign, Illinois. The vehicle must be picked up between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday at the same location. The City of Champaign is required to sell all vehicles through an auction process.
