Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a rare 1965 Fiat Spider 1500 Low mileage "Barn Find" for restoration. Being offered at "No Reserve". Bid with confidence with my 100% positive feedback. International Buyers are welcome to bid on this rare Pinin Farina designed classic convertible. Becoming a very rare collectible model with values on the rise. Barn find example of a rare Italian convertible designed by Pinin Farina. You can see the styling cues of a vintage Ferrari when you look at the egg crate gill. Other familiar Farina styling cues are similar to Alfa Romeo Giulia and Giulietta Spiders of the same period. Ran when parked. All original needing full restoration. Vin #: 0039196 Transmission: 4 Speed Color: Blue (original color) with white interior Title: Clear "Michigan" Title **I will be adding more pictures within the next few days.** The "Fiat" has been garage and barn stored for many years. Solid example ready for a full restoration. Under the hood the "Fiat" is pretty much all original down to the original air filter Assembly. Exhaust manifold was removed, but is included. It is in non running condition and I was not able to rotate the engine and cannot confirm whether it rotates or not. It should be expected to do a full engine rebuild. Transmission goes into all of the gears. Rolls easily. The interior is all complete down to the original seats. Original factory style steering wheel in good condition. Dash is all original and not cut up and includes all of the original gauges. Door panels are in good original condition. The foam underneath the bottom portion of the seats are completely gone. Seat backs are well preserved. Jump seat area is very solid including the battery box. The Body is in solid condition but will need to be restored. Shows no evidence of being repainted or any previous body repair or bondo. Body is very straight with excellent panel fit. Both doors close nicely with no issues. Both rocker panels show rust. Both rear quarters are solid as as shown in the pictures. Has original floors that are soft in some areas and will need to be restored/repaired. Trunk is solid with a rust area at the rear wheel arch - can also be seen in jump seat picture. Front and rear wheel arches in good condition with no rust issues. Has all original trim including the rare rocker panel chrome. Windshield is free of cracks. Nose panel and grill are in good condition with evidence of any previous damage. Front and rear bumpers are straight. Front bumper shows peeling in the chrome. Rear bumper is in good original condition. Spare tire well in good condition. Very rare light blue color which is original from the factory. Has original factory wheels and hubcaps. Includes original convertible top frame. There is no convertible top however there is a convertible top boot as shown in the pictures. The Fiat is being sold in "as is" condition with no warranty expressed or implied. With regards to the engine, as noted in the auction description, I was not able to get the motor to rotate. Since I cannot confirm that the engine will turn, it should be expected that the engine is stuck from sitting. The engine will need to be rebuilt/gone through.
