~UPDATE~ **JUST REPLACED THE Entire 4.4L M62tu Dual-Vanos ENGINE!!! The paperwork from EUROPEAN AUTO RECYCLERS indicates 56,xxx miles, and I could've literally eaten off the block it was so clean. Virtually everything else is barely broke INCL: ALL NEW OEM Gaskets, NEW OEM Bolts & Washers; ALSO: NGK Iridium Spark Plugs. Also, installed: NEW LUX Clutch, NEW LUX Pressure Plate, NEW LUX Dual-Mass Flywheel & Flywheel Bolts, ALL SEALS & BEARINGS, GEAR SHIFT COMPONENTS, plus swapped the shifter to a short-throw shifter from an E60 545i. Then I Replaced all her vital fluids: Transmission, Differential, Hydraulic, Oil, & Radiator, Power Steering, even Freon FLUID!! (RP Synchromesh, Redline 75w-90, ATE DOT 4 Racing , Lubro-Molly 15w-40 FULL Synthetic, Pink Pensotin Aluminum Coolant, et cetera.) For the record, when the previous seller kept telling me how rare the vehicle was, I had not idea how accurate of a statement it was. While they manufactured over 1260 2003 540i M-Sport w/the 6 Speed, after a lot of research I encountered an even more detailed breakdown based on color schemes. As luck would have it, it ends up being one out of 180 of the BLACK on BLACK M-Sports with the 6 Speed Getrag.Now, couple that with what I'm going to list, & I'm confident you'll agree, that there is NO other 2003 540i/6 that compares to this one ANYWHERE. Before I begin, let me explain why I invested such ridiculous amounts of cash into my baby. Being that I never fathomed I'd have to sell or trade her EVER, I figured investing whatever I saw fit was strictly my prerogative.
