The rear axle incorporates a Traction-Loc limited-slip mechanism, and a 3.27:1 final-drive ratio. 99 also added 13.0 Brembo vented front dics and 11.65 inch Brembo vented rear brakes for superior handling and safety, In 1999 the Cobra engine received a new set of cylinder heads, stronger main and rod bearings also increased the stability of this monster engine and a few other minor changes which increased power output to 320 hp, Track Tested at 5.6 seconds to 60 mph and a quarter-mile blast in 14.2 sec. at 99.7 mph but with a factory exhaust change and tune it ran over 100 and in the mid 13 second bracket, top speed as tested was 153 mph.
