Vehicle Detail
*** You need to check with your state's DMV and make sure you can obtain a title for this vehicle PRIOR to placing a bid. Alabama law does not require titles for vehicles 35+ years old therefore it will come with a bill of sale and the title from the previous owner in TN. *** *** There is a slideshow with more detailed pics at the bottom of the auction. *** 1967 MGB GT. 1st year of North American release. British Racing Green with black interior and optional chrome wire wheels. Manual gearbox. Not overdrive. Restoration was started but never finished. It will not take much to finish this car. The car is complete and comes with over $1000+ of extra MG parts to complete this car and possibly another you might have. Alot of the parts I think are off the original motor (an MG head, dual SU carbs, a cam, starters, alternator, etc) and can be sold or used on another MG. Some of the others are new or used parts needed to complete the car. If you are an MG enthusiast or looking for a quick restoration project then this is the car for you. Any bid needs to take into account the value of the car AND the parts. The body on the car is straight with no dents. There is some rust in the usual places on the body only. The bottom of a door, an outer wheel well, a small hole in the bottom of drivers side fender (see the pics). Its not very much and can be repaired pretty quickly. Then its ready for paint. The floors and frame rails are solid with no holes. The engine is NOT original. Its an 18V659M engine from an early 70s MG (better performance). But it looks like it will fire up once the breathers are put on and the radiator and gas lines are connected. The interior is all there. The seats and door panels are in pretty good condition and just need a thorough cleaning. It could use new carpet and a dash pad. The gauges will have to be cleaned up, etc. This car comes with tons of extra MG parts to complete the restoration and possibly another car: An extra MG engine head (probably the original?) Extra dual SU carburetors with intake and breathers (probably the originals?) Front windshield to replace the cracked one New front and rear windshield weatherstripping The 5th original chrome wire wheel (the spare is on the car now) A 6th dented wire wheel (unusable) for extra spokes if needed The original grille for the car The original bumpers and a spare front bumper All the trim and lights for the car 3 front valances (the light blue one is the one to use) The breathers for the engine currently in car The original radiator An alternator Two starters An extra cam Water pump Crank pulleys (all probably from the original motor) Other misc parts This will be a beautiful car when its restored. I have included some pics of a restored car in the slideshow below. DECODING: VIN: GHD3L120672 = MG BMC B-Series Engine 1.8L MGB GT MK1 1962-67 LHD SN:120672
