Vehicle Detail
1987 Buick Regal Grand National for sale. Original Grand National car with numbers matching engine and transmission. The original engine was professionally rebuild by a well known Grand National engine builder with forged internals. The engine is still a standard bore since the cylinders were in such great shape. The original heads were rebuilt professionally as well. This car runs great and is very fast and reliable. Only cosmetic items remain to be done to return this car to perfect condition. Could be used as a daily driver as it sits now. Paint has some chips and scratches but no rust. Only one spot of rust was found on the rear quarter panel and that spot was cut out and the area painted so that the rust didn't spread. These cars are growing in value and hard to find with all numbers matching. On May-24-15 at 06:57:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I added some pictures to show all of the flaws in the appearance of the car. The car has been repainted previous to me owning it and I don't think that they removed the trim when they painted it. The paint was flaking off above the windshield so I touched up the spots so that the spots wouldn't rust. The spots are not rusted through or anything, they are just chips in the paint. The touch up paint was not an exact match which makes the spots stand out more.On May-24-15 at 18:33:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I reserve the right to end the auction early since the car is for sale locallyOn May-25-15 at 04:04:37 PDT, seller added the following information: The A/C system does not blow cold and will need a charge. On May-28-15 at 08:49:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Lots of people are asking about the engine work, so I decided to add some details. This is a link to the right-up on it: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/winter-2013-build.391801/#post-3170537 The guy that built the motor is an ASE certified mechanic that worked at my local Chevrolet dealership. He has built over a dozen Grand National motors and owns two turbo buicks himself. The engine has 42 lb injectors, 91 octane turbotweak chip, TA Performance 3 inch down pipe, forged Diamond pistons, Edelbrock camshaft and lifters, TA Performance heavy duty rocker shaft, Kirban’s performance front timing cover, the original heads were rebuilt at the Head Shop in Virginia Beach. It has the LS MAF and MAF translator as well as the Hotwire kit for the fuel pump and a new upgraded fuel pump. Scanmaster 2.1 is installed with auto meter gauges for fuel pressure, oil pressure, boost, and engine temp. It also has the dual fan radiator upgrade kit from Gbodyparts with an LS radiator. I have over $5000 in the motor build alone. The car has had 3500 miles put on it since the engine work was completed and it runs great. The paint is a little rough. It has had a repaint in the past before I purchased it and it wasn’t done very well.
