Vehicle Detail

This car was purchased by a lady doctor in Denver Colorado. She lived a few blocks from the hospital that she worked at.In 1978,Carl was working at the Buick dealer, and she traded the car in.She had put 5000 miles on it by then.He bought the car ,and it continued it's pampered ,garaged life.Over the years he maintained and updated the apparence and mechanics as they were required.Carl is a pilot and owner of a Twin Beech,as well as a true gearhead and expert auto body / paint man.His current project is a C5 Corvette chassis, with a Devon body and a blown 426 Kieth Black Hemi.He is doing all the work himself. He keeps some cars in his Beech hanger at the airport, and this boattail resides in his mothers garage. To say he has too many cars would be a huge understatement. But, back to this car.At about 45000 miles the pump in the transmission was making a little noise. He removed it ,put in a new pump, rebuilt the rest and ,of course all new seals. The exhaust system was replaced with a custom mandrel bent aluminized pair.About 8 years ago he repainted the entire car.The vinyl top is a replacement, and is in perfect condition. The air conditioning is original, and blows icy,(R-12).The brakes are fresh. The interior was replaced ,(including door panels), about 10 years ago.The color of the car is Covert Tan,(code 50), which is the original color. It has 60/40 power seats, tilt wheel, power trunk lock, rear defogger, and chrome Buick road wheels, including the spare. This is not a survivor,or a project. You can fly into the Denver airport and drive it home- no matter where. All that you would do,or need to do,has been done.Car is out driving once a week, when weather permits. The power sunroof,( there were only 200 made over the 3 year run of this series),works perfectly. The only thing that does not work ,is the Max Track, that has been disconnected. When he worked at the dealership, the cars would be towed in,and the mechanics would disable the Max Track, and drive them into the bay. This car does have Positraction.I am listing this for him,and he will take your calls ,personally,if you have any questions. Please call only between 8 and 8 Mountain time, at 303-798-0280.Ask for Carl. Thanks for lookin'
