Vehicle Detail

On the block is a red Corvette. This is not a Bloomington Gold car, or a show car that gets trophies every show you enter it in. This is a driver's car. If you enjoy sitting around car shows with other Corvette owners, only driving in perfect weather, or trailering your baby to the shows, or just looking at your Corvette in your garage, then perhaps this is of interest only if you want two Corvettes, one to drive, and one to show. Is it ugly, broken, beatup? Nope. It has and will continue to be gawked at as it goes by, and the smile on the driver's face may outshine those C6 Chrome wheels. So, if you aren't scared off yet, read on..... This car has been maintained and cared for, including driven for almost 10 thousand miles since I have owned it. I just finished the oil and filter change, transmission and rear differential change with Royal Purple, and Mobil 1 Synthetic just like Chevy says to do 50 miles ago. The tires have 10000 miles on them, and are about 70%. The headlight motors started the familiar groaning and thrashing, so those were both replaced. The front apron shows the evidence of being a car that is enjoyed on the road and not in the garage, with a few rock chips evident. The rest of the car is in great shape. The interior is also excellent, with no tears or rips, and of course clean. The electronics work great, with no codes or issues. Power locks, windows, seats all work fine. It has the Hi flow air filter intake you can see in the pictures and short throw shift kit. That is the extent of the modifications, which means the car is very reliable, and you will get a very realistic 30 MPG at 70 on the interstate. However.........Once you pull it back into second, and then third, and then forth, by that time you want to hear that exhaust note even more, and well..........the city driving or back road touring will likely drop to around 23 or 24 mpg. I have a clear title in hand, and it is a KY rebuilt title. So why would I sell such a great driver's car? Well, I have an agreement with the CFO (my dear wife for 37 years) that all toys must go in the toy box every night when done playing, and I just purchased one over the limit, so this one has to be enjoyed by someone else, as there isn't room. Yes, I have already built on to the garage this year. Thought of that. Filled up again. I have had pretty good success buying and selling on eBay over the years, and I am willing to answer any questions you have. Bear in mind that winning the auction is not an invitation to come and negotiate the price of the car. The auction is the negotiation. Ask all questions before bidding. If you are in the area, by all means let me know if you want to come have a look. Drive it home? Absolutely. Regardless of distance, you will miss an awful lot of fun. The Corvette is as-is, no warranty expressed or implied. Good luck bidding!!
