33 year old sleeping beauty, 1981 Pontiac Trans Am NASCAR/Pace Car, RECARO TA, 8,404 original miles, lovingly in storage for nearly the last century, now offered for sale by the original owner, it has RECARO interior that is unbelievable, pristine and vibrant. 4.9 turbo Pontiac engine, automatic Transmission. Power Door locks, Power Windows, cassette player. Everything is original in this car with the exception of the fluids, the spark plugs, battery and the seats. The seats are 1983 RECARO black and red cloth any color variation in the photos are from the sunlight and shadows from the photo shoot, all pictures where just done on 10/22/14. There were only 2000 of special cars made, you will have to look long and hard to find one in this condition let alone with this limited mileage. The T-tops have their original storage bags as well. Prism spectrum trim on the black leather dash. This is a spectacular original condition car. If you or your loved one is a true fan of the Trans Am this is the one they want to own! This was the last year the "real" Trans Am. Factory installed everything, excluding the 1983 RECARO seats, which is a long story...but here are the cliff notes.....which includes a road trip, the 21 year old owner of this car, (and ad writer, btw) Daytona Beach, beautiful women, sultry nights, and the car returning to Indianapolis without all the seats it left with. If you want to know if this car is a show car, no, it is a 33 year old car that has been lovingly cared for by it's first and only owner. I ordered this car with my own savings back in 1981. Any classic car can be improved on but this is a clean classic car. I want to be honest and not have you disappointed. This beauty runs good and looks incredible. It has a ding on the left front just above the running light, and a gravel ding on the right rear wheel well. Both flaws are in the picture package.
