She had meticulously maintained the car and as a result it runs and drives excellently. There are no trouble lights on now or ever sense I have owned it. With only 114456 miles (under 6400 miles per year) the engine is quiet and smooth but when you feel like more spirited driving it has plenty of power on tap. It is comfortable, capable a delightful daily driver. A fresh synthetic oil service was performed 3 weeks ago by my Mercedes specialist. I bought the car only to drive through the winter and it is my daily driver still. Condition: Clean inside and out the paint is original. The color is one of my favorite things about the car. The “Tectite Gray” color exudes class and still has a rich luster any I keep it waxed. The interior is Immaculate with clean unworn leather, butter soft leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob are unblemished and the theory at Mercedes was that everything your hand rest on should amplify a sense of quality. This was the zenith of Mercedes Quality Engineering many expert say. The original Mercedes floor mats are still in very nice shape. 10 way adjustable leather seats are supple, clean and near perfect still. The glass is all undamaged, all electronics work. For anyone unfamiliar with Mercedes I love that the radio integrates a weather band channel so you always have up to the minute weather and forecast. Low Miles 114k and not one time has this car ever given me a problem or surprise. There are no trouble light on and I would not hesitate to drive this car to Florida and that is exactly what she did with it in the Winter time where she has a home as well (please notice the Sticker under the hood from her Mercedes Specialist in Southern Florida - the sticker is on the front core support in front of the engine) . This is my daily driver so mileage will increase but this is the mileage on 4/12/2015. It runs, shifts, and brakes excellently. Temperature Gage never rises above half way - all is well. Going down the road it tracts straight as an arrow and inspires a feeling of solidity and safety. The Tires are BF Goodrich Touring with 60% front tread and 70% in the rear. I don’t like surprises so I will highlight the things that are less then perfect as this car was manufactured in March of 1997. There is just one key, the drivers rear wheel arch has a couple small rust blisters barely noticeable and all pictures where taken last week. The air conditioner may require a recharge this summer it blew cold at the end of last year but like most Mercedes of this vintage refrigerant will need topping off at the beginning of Summer. The car has a lot of original audio speakers but the right rear needs replacement, but the audio system still sounds good. They say Mercedes are “built like no other” this car feels more solid and performs better than many 2 year cars. The ride is comfortable, the handling is great. It is powerful and agile yet still fuel efficient. The interior void of road noise is unparalleled and is super clean and has never been smoked in. I've never felt so safe in a vehicle as it has front and side impact airbags. If you need to fly in I will see to it you are met at the airport. Fly in Drive home.
