Thank you for viewing my auction for my 1998 Jaguar XJ8. This XJ8 is in very good mechanical condition and can be driven anywhere, anytime, without any worries. It is driven regularly and well maintained. I am the second owner and bought it from a local dealer who had taken it on trade when one of thier customers purchased a newer vehicle. The following is an overall condition report as well as recnet mechanical repirs performed. Only 109704 original miles. I am driving it so miles may be a few hundred more by the time auctiuon closes. The motor runs perfectly and the transmission shifts smooth and tight. Oil and transmission have been serviced regularly. Brakes have been done within the last 10,000 miles. Tires have over 70% treadlife remaining. The full size spear is brand new. Front end alignment performed within last 6000 miles. Fresh battery. Recent Maaco paint job. Body in decent shape and it looks good going down the road. Rides smooth and handles well. Although the interior is not perfect it is clean with minimal tears in the leather. Headliner has been tacked as it was starting to sag. All windows operate properly except the left passanger rear window. The trunk lock is does not work but trunk can be accessed from the rear latch (access behind rear tag). Although central locking works it does not activate the trunk. This is a very good driving and dependable XJ8 with low miles. It has not been abused and is well maintained. I have put aproximately 20,000 since I purchased it and it has never let me down. I love these models and recently purchased a 2002 XJR. I am selling this XJ* to pay off the XJR. I did list this XJ8 recently and the winning bid was $3150.00. Unfortunately the winning bidder could not complete the purchase as hes is elderly, no longer drives, and when his daughter realized he had purchased she contacted me to cancel the purchased.
