This M38 was used by the Wautoma, Wisconsin Fire Dept. The roll cage was added to make it more useful for off road fires. Most of the lights etc were removed however there are a number of cut wires remaining. A 12 volt alternator was installed to work with the lighting however it uses a 2 battery 24volt starter. For the most part the cage is attached by bolts and can be removed without damaging the frame or body. The tailgate is missing and the rear step is welded to the body.(see pics) The Jeep starts, runs and drives. It has a new gas tank,points,condenser and coil. Tires in very good condition. Seats are in bad shape. Body is very solid however there is rust under the gas tank, storage box under passenger seat and 4 inch by 1/4 inch where right foot rests near gas pedal.
