1985 Toyota extended cab. This truck is a 4x4 fuel injected automatic solid axle. 31x10.50x15 BFGs, Wing windows, rear slider, freshly reupholstered seats, A/C, power steering, nice stereo. It is from Arizona and is NOT a rustbucket. A rare beast indeed. I bought the truck in AZ in 2013 while on vacation. Before I drove it home (1100 miles) I replaced the leaky power steering pump, alternator, new battery, gave it a basic tune up and set the valves. When I purchased it the transmission was skipping third gear sometimes. After a lot of parts replacements (shift cable, shift solenoids, transmission computer, shift kit springs) the transmission guy found the problem in the valve body and replaced the shift plug. Since then it has sat inside, only being started and driven to the post office once in awhile to keep the battery and fuel fresh. I was going to pull the automatic and put a 5-speed in it (according to my research this has 4.30 gears which would be great with a 5 speed and larger tires), lift it and lock it but the more I looked at it, I couldn't bring myself to tear into such a nice unmolested 85 Toyota. The frame is clean the body is clean, you just don't see them this nice in my part of the world, here (and most other places) they are always rusty. I have a couple other trucks to play with so this has just sat in the back of my shop. It's too nice for me to tear up and I have a Tacoma for a daily driver so I've decided to sell it rather than keep it in mothballs forever. I never tagged the truck because I didn't know what I was going to do with it so it will come with a clean notarized AZ title signed and dated 8-5-2013, I'm not sure of all state's regulations so you may have to pay a non-op or back tax from that date depending on your local regulations? The truck is a cream puff time capsule as far as I'm concerned but it does have it's little dings and scrapes which I have tried to picture. The interior is a little sundried but the seats are fresh and it has a new dash mat. Evidently the previous owner didn't believe in using floormats so it has heel wear on the driver's side. The engine fires up and runs fine, the transmission now shifts great, 4x4 works, A/C works. If I was going to drive it daily I would replace the windshield, replace driver's seatbelt latch (I have one I will throw in but it is grey instead of brown) get some floor mats and DRIVE IT.
