1999 Honda CR-V for sale 161k miles, runs amazingly Selling this because I need a larger truck for work. It pains me to let it go, but I can’t own 3 vehicles, no space. Title is clean and clear, and on hand. Some of the photos show the CR-V without the front bumper. I had removed the bumper to do some touch up work on it last November. It IS installed now :) Brand new tires, less than 1,500 miles on them. Goodyear VIVA2 Winter tires, 205/70r15. These are absolutely incredible in the snow and rain, absolutely the best tires I’ve ever used. I can easily drive directly into a 12” snow drift and have 0 issues going through it. Never got stuck or even slid, not 1 single time, and I’m in the Chicago suburbs! Have receipts with warranty info that will go to the winning bidder. The tires are perfectly capable of being driven year round. All maintenance is done. New Bosch spark plugs, new distributor rotor and cap, new NGK spark plug wires, new K&N air filter freshly cleaned, new cabin air filter, new fuel filter, new PCV valve. New wipers all around. Fresh pour of ice melt rain-x fluid. ALL NEW FLUIDS - Rear differential, motor oil + filter (synthetic Mobil 1 5w-30 only - always), transmission oil (Honda ATF Z1 only) + filter and housing + trans oil pan gaskets, radiator fluid (Honda fluid only), brake fluid and power steering fluid (Honda dual pump fluid only). New Catalytic converter done 10/15/14 with New O2 sensor. Lower and upper front ball joints done. New Rear sway bar links done. New OEM Honda driveshaft and u-joints done Oct 2014. All power options work perfectly - doors, windows, mirrors, rear hatch, etc. All doors and hatch/hatch window, and all windows all works properly, as expected on a Honda. New 20-35% tints all around, done 11/20/14, Lifetime Warranty. Will give information to winning bidder. New Front Calipers, Pads and Rotors, Lifetime Warranty on parts, will also give this warranty info to the winning bidder, along with receipts. New drum brake kit parts (shoes, springs, all hardware, etc.) are included but not installed. Tool kit is in the trunk, as is the fold-out table! New black bug deflector on the hood New Honda steering wheel wrap/cover New Headlights, just installed 02/03/15 New Westin bull bar and 27W LED Fog/Flood lights (BRIGHT!!) New front License plate frame/mount New Sony Stereo system with millions (Yes, millions) of color options for the LED backlighting (right now I have it matching the gauge cluster), and bluetooth calling (awesome!), sounds fantastic. Android app controls it if you want, really nice stereo system. Has remote control also. New speakers all around, rear dual 6” subwoofers are installed facing in on purpose, fyi. Sounds incredible. New Vital 5303L Alarm system with keyless entry and Remote Start - 2 key fobs included along with original Honda key. No check engine lights or any warning lights at all. This CR-V has needed no serious maintenance or repairs since I’ve owned it. It has been very very good to me. 162k miles or even 250k miles is nothing on a Honda, they are bullet proof - This is common knowledge. All you have to do is care for it, use good fluids and regular maintenance, and it’ll last you forever. Also, it gets amazing fuel mileage, roughly 19-22mpg :) In this cold too, that number will get better with warmer weather, up to 25-26mpg in spring/summer. I have a giant stack of receipts for all the work that has been done and for the add-on’s as well. Will be in the glove box. That’s all the good. The Bad - only 3 issues are present on the car right now. First - it needs an A/C compressor installed. The A/C turns on and runs fine, but the air will cycle from ice cold to room temp, and sometimes it gets ice cold and stays ice cold, other times it never gets quite as cold. They are $140-180 on Rockauto.com, and can be done DIY. You can easily access it from under the drivers side of the engine bay. You literally don’t even need a jack, but I’m sure it would help a bit. Just make sure to wear gloves. Then it needs a recharge of the system, which can be done with the $30 can of A/C recharge found at most stores. I can provide a how-to video for this if the winning bidder is interested. Or, you can take it and have it done. Do not pay anyone more than $200-300 to do this, otherwise you are getting ripped off. Second - is there is a vacuum issue with the braking system. I am 99.9% sure it involves the power booster hose or the small actuator inside the hose, which is about a $50 part and incredibly accessible from the top of the engine bay. What happens is, while driving the brake pedal will start to feel stiff. All I do is put my foot behind the brake pedal, and pull up on it for 2-3 seconds, and the problem is gone. Sometimes it disappears for weeks, sometimes it comes back on the very next trip. Like I said though, it’s most likely a very simple/cheap fix, but needed to mention that here on the auction description. Third - she has some minor dings here and there, mainly on the passenger side door. A new door is literally $70, in the same red color on Craigslist or eBay. They are all photographed. $1,000.00 deposit required at checkout. Remainder of final payment due within 3 days, or the car will be re-listed.
