Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my prized 1977 Scout SSII. This is a genuine SSII as verified by the vehicle identification number. All exterior body panels have been powder coated International Orange. The front inner fenders and all the sheet metal on the engine has been powder coated I.H. Red. The soft top is a quality top made by Rhinyl Products. The soft doors were custom made a by a local outfitter. Linex has been applied to the interior floors, kick panels, SSII door inserts and inner rear panels. The high back front bucket seats and rear folding seat were professionally recovered. A Tuffy locking center console up front and a spacious rear locking cargo box gives lots of room for valuables. Has a stereo head unit installed in front center console that is hidden from view when locked. The stock radio in the dash is not currently hooked up. The headlight wiring has been upgraded and European spec (e code) headlights have been installed. Mini me LED rock lights light up the ground at night. Custom front and rear bumpers with a 12,000 lb winch up front. This vehicle has been stored in our heated garage since the restoration was completed. We have driven around the state on a few trips, and showed it at the 2012 West Coast Binder Bee where the vehicle won Best in Show. The engine has been updated and sports a Hamilton Fuel Injection system. All new hoses and belts were done during restoration, and an aluminum radiator from I.H. Parts America was installed. A 33 gallon gas tank was also added. The suspension was overhauled with stock springs sand blasted and powder coated. At this point a reverse shackle spring over axle conversion was completed with all new polyurethane bushings, and the Dana 44 front and rear axles were equipped with Spartan Lockers. Stock brakes all around with new stainless steel braided flex hoses installed. The dual exhaust is fully aluminized and has stainless steel Magnaflow mufflers. The 727 automatic transmission was completely rebuilt, a TF2 shift kit package was added, and I installed an extra capacity oil pan with a large capacity B&M external transmission cooler added up front. The stock wheels were sandblasted and powder coated gloss black. The tires including the full size spare are 33X12.50X15R Goodyear Wrangler MT/R kevlar.I am sure the new owner of this fine vehicle will enjoy showing it off. This listing is being sold as-is and includes no warranty. Buyer is responsible for any/all shipping costs if needed. On Feb-13-15 at 18:32:06 PST, seller added the following information: The inner front fenders are powder coated gloss black. The vehicle is currently registered as a collector vehicle, and has a collector plate on the back.
