In stock form it produces 256 horsepower but with the addition of the Dinan performance chip and cam sprocket, this car puts out 302 horsepower to the crank. Stopping power is provided by four wheel disc brakes with anti-lock. THE BODY AND TRIM The exterior of this 1988 M6 is in excellent original 99.99% clean and dry rust-free condition throughout with gleaming and lustrous paint finish! I would rate the exterior of this car a solid 8.5 on a scale of 1-10 with only minor imperfections including some scuffing on the underside of the front spoiler along with some various rock nicks and other light blemishes and scratches. THE INTERIOR The interior of this non-smoker M6 is in very good all original overall condition with nearly all systems in perfect working order. Imperfections inside this car include a/c not blowing cold, driver seat leather worn and cracked especially on the side panel, some expected wear on the door panel arm rests. Overall this is one still very handsome and comfortable GT cockpit that needs very little to be perfect! THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This 1988 BMW starts perfectly with SUPERB running engine, excellent shifting transmission, tight yet supple supension with excellent acceleration and handling. Items that need addressing to make the driving experience closer to perfect new would include replacement on one lightly clunking suspension component and one sticky brake caliper.
