For sale is an exceptional 1984 VW Rabbit convertible Wolfsburg Edition. This is a second owner car that has been garage kept since 1986. It has the 1.8L engine that was just treated to a new head gasket (coolant in #1 cylinder) timing belt, A/C and alternator belts and new oil and filter. This engine starts right up every time and purrs. The transmission shifts nicely. The front brakes have 50% life left and the rear brakes and wheel cylinders are new. The front axles are in good condition and just had new outer boots installed. The exterior is as nice as you can get for a 30+ year old car, with absolutely no rust anywhere. There are two minor dings in the hood which would not show in the pictures. Both lower grills have a few plastic bars missing. The interior is very clean with leather seats and nice carpeting and door panels. The convertible top is in good condition with very minor cracks at the front folds. The boot is also in good condition. Four matching tires with 80% tread left. Some cracking is just beginning and I have a picture of the worst section. Car cover included. The A/C will have to be looked at. The compressor turns smoothly and quietly when jumped but not when turned on inside. The trunk lid piston will need replacing. I try to be as accurate and honest as possible with my descriptions. Look at my feedback and you'll see my cars are usually nicer than I describe them. I'm setting a reasonable reserve price based on the condition and rarity of the car.
