Vehicle Detail

2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 VIN # 1G1YY12S625131108 I flew out to look at this car at a dealership in North Carolina in June of 2013. It had 26,000 miles on it at the time and still had the new car smell in the interior. The car had brand new tires all around and was in near perfect shape. Being in the body shop business my entire life, I did notice the front and rear bumper had been painted. I overlooked this, as the paint finish quality was really good. I could simply tell by a slight color difference, but really most silver C5’s don’t match that well from the factory from panel to panel. I quickly made the decision to purchase and drove it home to central Mississippi. I have used this car as my daily driver ever since and it is now approaching 53,000 miles. The car has had no mechanical issues whatsoever. It hasn’t been in the shop, never broken down, never failed to start and get me to work and back. I have had a blast in this car! It is as tight as a 13-year-old car can get! I special ordered the custom-sized wheels from Forgestar. It took 6 weeks to get them, as they build to order. I wrapped them in Nitto Invo tires. I also put on the BBK intake system and the brakes. The nickel coated rotors are drilled and slotted. The pads are pure ceramic. I also had an aux jack added to the factory radio as well as a sub and amp. I put the foam insulator between the cabin and trunk for noise suppression, as well as sound deadening under the carpet throughout. The 8-ball shifter knob was also added. Bottom line: This is a great car, but it isn’t pristine. It has a 6” scratch in the front bumper from a child’s bike pedal, some rock chips on the front bumper, and the usual chips behind the front tires on the fender corners. On silver it’s not very noticeable. I considered just repainting the entire front facia but wanted to wait a few more miles. Don’t come to look and pick it apart to get me down on the price. I know what its worth and I’m taking less already. I am only selling due to a change in jobs that will keep me traveling. I just don’t want it sitting here in my garage getting dinged up by the kids. It should be driven. So, if a daily driver is what you want, not a trailer or garage queen, this is it. Car is financed with Gateway One Lending and has a clean title. Here is a list of all the specs: Forgestar F14 gunmetal wheels – 18x9 front, 19x11 rear, all near perfectNitto Invo Tires – 265/35/18 front at 80%, 305/30/19 rear at 50%Drilled and slotted rotors all around.Ceramic brake pads all around.8-ball shifter knob with 6-spd pattern BBK cold air intake system with washable filter.Sound deadening insulation added throughout under carpet and in doors.Power Acoustik 1250W 30th Anniversary amplifier with remote gain control (in center console)Pioneer 1000W 10” subwoofer in custom made enclosure.Custom LS6 fender badges.Lowered 1” front, 1 ½” rear (can be adjusted back up)LS6 5.7L 405HP (or whatever it really has now)Titanium exhaust (sounds like a beast. A really unique sound)Traction control and Active Handling (with Competition Mode)Heads-up DisplayHave all manuals and the factory VHS video that came with it.
