Vehicle Detail
Thanks for your interest ... 1997 Jaguar Vanden Plas with only 60,000 + miles on it. Adult owned. Now I've owned more cars than I care to count, but this is by far the most luxurious, best riding car I've ever owned. You feel a bump ...then its gone ...probably the independent suspension .... anyway... I am selling all three of my fun cars that I hardly ever drive in order to buy one Jeep Wrangler. I'm getting older - have 2 convertibles and this Jaguar. I'm listing the Jag now and the convertibles in the spring. I could really use a 4 wheel drive here in New England and refuse to drive any of the 3 cars in the winter months. I was told the car was always garaged... it was when I bought it. Don't know what to say... the car is beautiful for its age and speaks for itself. It is insured as a classic car. Ask any Jaguar mechanic... the 1995-1997 were the last and best years of the XJ6... and the 1997 was the best. Described as bullet proof. Just completed 60,000 mile services including transmission, fluids and more... The car runs excellent ... no engine lights ...inspected until 2016 in Rhode Island. Drove it to the car wash and then home where she will remain until snow and salt is gone or until you buy it. I bought the car last year from a man that bought the car for his sick Mom. that always wanted a Jag. She couldn't get in and out of the car (too low) so he bought her an X Type Jag (which he says was a huge mistake). I had the car checked out by a Jaguar mechanic located between myself and the seller. He gave the car a glowing report. I will gladly supply you his name/number, but I suggest and welcome an independant inspection. I AM NOT A DEALER. Here is a list of the things that could use attention: There are 3 things that these are known for breaking: 1. Drooping Headliner, 2. Clock that doesnt work, 3. Cup holder in front console ... and yes all 3 are in need of repair on my car. I have the headliner pinned up (some people actually thought it was supposed to look like that. I bought a clock and the cup holder - but not sure they work and have not installed. Body is really nice - had the car reconditioned after I bought it and was told it looks like the clear coat was stripped off and a new clear applied at some point which explains how she shines. There are some little tiny dings here and there that a dent doctor type company here will remove all for $150.00. There is also a dent below the molding (passenger side) that looks like it can be pulled out with a plunger...not that I tried ...and you really have to look hard to notice it. 7 layer breathable waterproof car cover included. Car is priced based on current Kelly Blue Book, NADA, and Edmunds Private Sale In Very Good Condition (and its better than that) Now those prices are all over the place - so what did I do - I averaged them out ... The car is fairly priced...but not a give away.On Feb-07-15 at 23:35:09 PST, seller added the following information: YOU MUST HAVE 10 OR MORE FEEDBACKS IN ORDER TO BID. PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU DO. PLEASE SEE THE THE POST OF THE INSULTING ACCUSATION MADE BY SOMEONE WITH ONLY 1 FEEDBACK AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY. On Feb-09-15 at 05:46:03 PST, seller added the following information: Follow Up to Messages Below: I contacted ebay customer service this morning regarding the messages I posted below. In particular, the accusations that I rigged the bid and that bids do not jump from $1000 - $6000. (see below) In all honesty I thought maybe ...just maybe .. I misssed something .... Ebay stated : if someone enters a maximium bid, and that bid exceeds the reserve on the item - then the first bid from that person will be the reserve price. .. or in this case $6100.00 in the bid history Thank you ebay for the confirmation. This "ebayer" made false, uninformed accusations. Lets all continue to keep ebay a safe place to do business by exposing this type of activity. Thanks
