H code 351 2V, automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes and air conditioning. This is a good solid car in a rare color combination that will be worth top dollar once restored. This Torino was in Arizona until about 8 years ago when it was brought to Washington. It appears to be original paint with no previous accidents or repairs. It has good body lines and the doors open and close nicely. It has very solid quarter panels, doors, trunk pan and floorpans. I don’t see any rust or bubbles on the quarters, doors or anywhere on the outer body. The car was never undercoated from the factory so nothing has been hidden and it will make it much easier to restore the undercarriage. You can still see lots of factory yellow paint. There is some surface rust but no rust through. The trunk pan has surface rust but no rust through. There are a couple very small holes up on the “shelf” area at the back of the trunk. The trunk lip looks good. It does have a dent in the passenger door and a small crease just behind the door. It also has a dent in the driver’s door but not too bad. There is rust on the underside of the hood and a crack back by the hinge. The trunk lid has one rust hole on the underside but it is not bad. All trim is present including the very hard to find wheel well trim. Laser stripe cars have different wheel well trim than cars with the wide body moulding. Factory laser stripe cars are rare and most have been converted and had the moulding holes filled with who knows what. Bumpers are nice and straight. Grill and grill surround are nice and the front moulding is nice with only a few very small dings. Front valance is pretty nice with a minor dent or two and the rear valance has some dents. Glass is good and has factory tint. It does also have some aftermarket tint that needs to be removed. I removed it from the driver’s window but never got around to the others. It comes off real easy with a clothes (or any other kind) steamer. Magnum 500 wheels are rusting from sitting in Washington rain for 8 years. Tires are old and need to be replaced. The white interior needs to be totally restored and is in rough shape from the Arizona sun. This includes upholstery, carpet, headliner, dashpad etc. The doorpanels are also in rough shape from the sun but I am including a nice clean set that just need to be dyed the correct color. Both front rear window seals are dry and cracked from the AZ sun which did cause it to leak once in Washington. The dampness caused some interior pieces to rust etc. The rear carpet was removed because it was wet but the floors look ok. Seat track, seatbelts and other things are rusty and will need to be cleaned up.The 351W engine and automatic transmission were rebuilt and have low miles. It is not numbers matching. Receipts for both rebuilds are included. The engine has no smoke or noise and is very clean. It is mostly stock including 2bbl carb, exhaust manifolds and stock cam. Although it does have a Duraspark electronic ignition which is a nice upgrade. It runs pretty good but could probably stand to have the carb cleaned out. It has a nice dual exhaust system with balance tube that looks fairly new. Transmission works well. The car runs drives and stops but is not road worthy. It should have the brakes looked at, tires, etc. Several of the switches have gone bad from sitting in the damp weather without use and will need replaced. I replaced the ignition switch and it works properly now. It needs a wiper switch, the motor works fine but the wipers would not park. I pulled the switch but when I went to order one it was going to take a couple weeks so I will let the new owner replace it. Also needs a headlight switch and turn signal switch. All those switches are inexpensive. Wiring looks to be in good shape. The heat and A/C have been removed for restoration but the parts are included.Overall this would be a fantastic to restore. It is very complete and has a very desirable color combination. It is certainly not perfect, however, nothing has been hidden, covered up and you can see exactly what you are getting. The car could probably be back on the road with a couple weekends worth of work if that’s the direction you wanted to go. Car is sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. It is available for inspection by appointment. I have tried to describe the car as accurately as possible but please understand that this is a 43 year old car that has not been restored.
