Vehicle Detail

0 0 1 511 2915 Home Office 24 6 3420 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE GENERAL DESCRIPTION; We are proud to offer, for your consideration, an auction of our 1937 Buick Special Series 4-door touring sedan. We purchased this vehicle in 2010 from a gentleman who had commission a rotisserie, nut and bolt restoration completed in 2006. We understand that shortly after he started driving the car again he lost interest and garaged it until we purchased it. Upon taking delivery of the Buick, we checked all the mechanics, changed all fluids and meticulously detailed it for our first show. We entered our Buick in the 2010 Boca Raton Florida Concourse d’Elegance and received a Best of Class Honors. We continue to drive it and entered local shows. In 2011 earned the AACA 1st Junior at the Winter National in Melbourne, Fl. At the 2012 Winter Meet in Lakeland, Fl. we won a Senior Award. In 2013 we were awarded our 1st Preservation Award in Port St.Lucie, Fl. In September 2013 we participated in the AACA Glidden Tour in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Buick performed well all week and we completed the tour of over 500 mile during the five-day tour. This past September (2014) we completed the VCCA Glidden Tour in Defiance Ohio. Again the reliability of our Buick was outstanding. This Buick, is not only a reliable machine, but a fun car to drive and show. The odometer shows 4877 miles since we purchased the car. Due to the outstanding “deco body styling” of this Buick and the excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, we frequently win Best in Show at the local car shows. We are offering this Buick for sale with a clean and clear title. THERE ARE NO SURPRISES HERE! Good luck bidding! ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION: This Buick has a standard straight 8 cylinder engine. This engine kept Buick on top of the auto industry for several decades. It has a 3 speed manual transmission, a gear shifter on the floor, a dry plate clutch and a driveshaft. It starts easy, runs smoothly and drives great. The engine compartment is clean and correctly detailed. EXTERIOR: You will notice in the pictures that this Buick has a beautiful burgundy paint finish. It’s highly detailed body set it apart from most vehicles in this era. The body is very solid and there is no hint of rust any place on this car. The chrome and bright work are all in great condition. INTERIOR: During restoration, a great deal of attentions was given to the correct upholstery of this Buick. All the seats, door panels, the headliner are all finished in the tan cloth and design for this era. All the carpets and trim material are in show room condition. All are still in like new condition. The dashboard and window trim have a beautiful WOODGRAIN finish. The gages are in working condition with the exception of the gas gage. There is a electric clock on the glove box door and a owners manual in the glove box. It is also equipped with a heater. The trunk is very clean and has the proper lining, tire jack, other tire changing items and a like new spare tire. CHASSIS:The undercarriage is very clean and in showroom condition. The burgundy steelwheels have chrome hubcaps and stainless steel beauty rings. The wide white side wall Firestone tires are in excellent condition and correct for this period. The hydraulic brakes are in great working condition. The exhaust system is in goodshape. It also has a beautiful set of Trippe driving lights I have tried to describe this car as accurately as possible.
