Vehicle Detail

Hello,Up for consideration here today is a 1987 Dodge Carroll Shelby Charger with the 2.2 liter turbo engine. I purchased the car at the end of the summer, drove it a few days, then the head gasket went. A week or so ago I took the head off to start the repair process. The head is off, the mating surfaces need to be cleaned and new gaskets installed. I have 5 cars now, I had open back surgery as well as hand surgery, and this car is a little difficult for me to work on with the really cramped spaces. I did not fall in love with this car like I thought I would, so its going to go. I really want to get an old VW bug, so I am chasing the dream right now. I am paying insurance on this car to sit in the driveway, which is not really economical. I have no garage, so work has halted on it in order to save my body. I drove the car 100 or so miles home, and it drove fine. Brakes worked good, no odd noises or anything of the sort. Transmission shifted fine (all of the gears worked fine including reverse). The car has been garaged most of its life, as you can see from the underside pictures there really is no rust or rot, even the shock towers are not rotted out. The mileage on the speedometer is correct, and I have document proof of that from sales receipts for parts. The tires are good and hold air fine. The original rims are still in nice shape too. The car has a few go fast goodies purchased from Forward Motion in Wilmington Delaware by one of the prior owners. The parts were installed sometime around 2003-4 but they only have about 6000 or so miles on them. These parts that were replaced were the turbo, t2 fuel injectors, reprogrammed/new computer (boosts to 15psi), under drive main crank pulley, ported intake and exhaust manifolds, bosch adjustable fuel pressure regulator, turbo oil and coolant lines, auto meter wide band and boost gauges. The interior is not too bad, the seats are not ripped up but they do need a cleaning. It does need tidying up. The sunroof does not leak, and I even have the bag in the trunk to protect the sunroof when it is off. It has the floppy door handle syndrome like all these K cars get. The steering wheel is not original and really should be replaced, it was on my to do list before the head gasket went. All of the factory gauges work fine as well. The car has been repainted some time ago, but underneath the hood you can see the original black with the skunk stripes. Obviously, this car is going to have to be towed home. I do have a diesel excursion, if you have access to a trailer I can tow this car home for you for the price of fuel and beer and pizza money (all of which needs to be worked out BEFORE you win the auction). It is strictly as is/where is with no warranty expressed or implied. If you have no feedback please contact me first prior to bidding, the past few items I sold on here were to no feedback new users and none of them followed through with the sale. I am flexible with payment methods, again, contact me first. You have 7 days to pay for and pick up the item per ebay guidelines, if other arrangements need to be made please contact me first BEFORE you bid or win it.
