Vehicle Detail
All the Best! This car started out as a stock Porsche Turbo in 2003. In 2008, after coming to the states, it was highly modified with intentions of creating a GT2 replication, with an automatic transmission; mileage was 37k. The build, between parts, fabrication, installation and tuning, cost over $60k. You will not find another one with all the best parts on both engine and body like this one. On pump gas, it puts out 600hp, but is set up to be tuned up to 1000hp. It has a full Techart body kit, Evoms 700 package, Garret GT30R turbos, GReddy boost controller (with 2 programmed tunes), carbon ceramic Brembo brakes with over-sized rotors, HRE 590RS forged rims, among others. If you're interested, please come see it in person and take it for a test drive. I'd be happy to go over details or answer any questions about the car. Just drop me a line and I'd be open to getting on the phone as well. On Dec-18-14 at 09:37:19 PST, seller added the following information: I've added some more pics and here is a short video of the car starting from a cold state: http://www.videosprout.com/video?id=c7ad3653-7319-4792-b515-d87640000f44 On Dec-20-14 at 13:44:12 PST, seller added the following information: *** UPDATE 12-20-15 *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After so many similar inquiries about the cars cosmetic condition and comments on how unappealing it sounded in the video I previously posted, I decided to offer additional info; please disregard my previous video (as it was not well recorded) and see the new one below. Regarding the condition, it's a "7" to a "9", depending on how meticulous you are, but it looks totally outstanding overall, no matter how much scrutiny. Upon close examination, you may find a handful of flaws in the paint. Most I tried to capture with a camera just didn't show up well - they are all small, ranging from a pin-head size to the largest, which is about the size of a grain of rice. The condition of the car is above average and I am constantly asked if it's "new"... Other than a handful of minuscule exterior blemishes, (which is far less than one would expect on this kind of car, at this age) it is an absolute stunner. Again, these small flaws are only found upon a very stringent examination. All the rims are in outstanding condition and shine up gloriously. The rear passenger rim has about 1/3" rash, but was re-chromed, so it's barely noticeable. When the new tires were recently installed, the tire shop that's been doing them for years accidentally scratched the lip, on this very same rim, when mounting the tires - it's the only rim with a blemish. HRE will repair and refinish the lip for $300 or replace it entirely for $350 (nice benefit of having a 3-piece forged rim that cost $1,500 to replace; by-the-way, HRE doesn't offer 3-piece forged rims any more). The blemish is shown in pics above. It has no affect on the performance of the car and isn't noticeable in passing, but only becomes apparent when closely evaluated. The interior has some very light wear on the black plastic center console, where the emergency brake is. It's very light and superficial, not even noticeable much in pics. All the leather has no rips or tears, but on the passenger seat cushion the leather has tightened some, but is in no way pulling on the seems. Otherwise, it's excellent inside, all the way up to the flawless suede headliner. The spoiler is equipped with hydraulics to rise with the push of a button or after 70 mph, but has been setup to stay in a fixed position now - the lowered position. The spoiler in the up position has a tendency to wear the back tires more quickly and it causes steering to become sharp and less forgiving, so like most others with a 996, I've opted to keep mine lowered. The car runs exceptionally well and could take anyone anywhere! Check out my more recent video at the link below and keep in mind that the sound of the car is much better in person because the deeper note in the engine isn't captured very well on video. It's a deep, throaty sound and absolutely fabulous for a Porsche, for those familiar. Other than the sound, I tried to capture the look of the car as best I could, but in person it really shows much better. The retail on a new car like this today is close to $200k and the retail on similar used ones is typically $55k - $60k. In the video, the paint may appear dusty or speckled, but the paint is actually metallic. Remember, this is an 11 to 12 year vehicle...
