Selling the one car my wife and I said we would never sell...unfortunately time to move on to a newer car. We have traveled cross-country 3 times in this VW with 4 kids. Best multi-purpose vehicle for a family. Work Needed: Timing Chain Brakes (front and rear) Front Right Fog Light Probably a new front battery - auxiliary battery still good Usual Dings for a 11 year old vehicle Roof Clear-coat is peeling Rust around the Gas Cap Door I would rate the vehicle in fair condition due to the above mechanic needs. The interior is in good condition, we are non-smokers. and the pop-top fabric is in great condition (we have never gotten wet even is down pours in the cascade mountains). Includes rear hatch bug screen, cab privacy curtain, all window curtains, safety net for upper bunk, under-seat refrigerator and original floor mats. It took my wife a long time to agree to part with this vehicle even though she has purchased a new car. We have kept out hope to make another trip across country but it is time to sell. The Kelley Blue Book value for fair condition is $17,800. We are including the German side-tent (Herzog-Komet) we have for the vehicle. It is a great side tent that has never leaked. It provides plenty space for cooking, eating or sleeping. There is also a woven rug that covers the ground. Please contact me with any questions.
