You are looking at an ORIGINAL 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT. This is a very original and unmolested example that is a complete car needing needing restoration. Car was a running yard driver but has been sitting for the better part of a year now. This a REAL GT in Competition Blue (Grabber Blue for you Ford aficionados), White Bucket Seat and Console car. This an ORIGINAL 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT and I have the Deluxe Marti Sheet on to document it's options and production numbers. This Cyclone GT was originally equipped as follows: 351C-2V Engine C-4 Automatic Transmission2.75 Conventional 9 inch RearCompetition Blue Exterior PaintWhite Knitted Vinyl Bucket Seat InteriorTachometer Instrumentation GroupConsoleElectric ClockPower SteeringF70-14 Raised White Letter TiresRear Seat SpeakersHeavy Duty BatteryTinted GlassAM Radio The body is pretty much complete as shown, but it does have some rust as it is originally a northern DSO'd car. Now I have seen cars much worse than this one restored and better ones cut up as parts cars. It does have almost all of it's original Comp Blue paint so you can see what work the body actually needs! In fact my initial plan was to use the White Interior for my Cyclone Spoiler restoration. But after further soul searching the car really was just too nice and too original to pull apart so I am going to offer it to the next Cyclone fan as a Winter project so they can give it the restoration it deserves. The interior in this Cyclone is pretty much all original and is near mint!! It is an EXCELLENT driver interior. The Seats and Door Panels are very nice and it also has a very clean console in it. The Rim Blow Wheel and Pad are also very decent pieces as well as the original Gauge dash. It does have a crack in it but is still very presentable!!The GOOD: it is a REAL Cyclone GT (16 body code) and is a very complete and pretty much unmolested original car. It retains all of its original drivetrain components to include 351C-2V engine, C-4 Transmission and 9 inch rear end. It is an Original Competition Blue Car with a White Bucket Seat interior with Console and that OH SO SEXY GAUGE DASH!! Original Steel Wheels with trim rings and caps. Very Nice Hideaway Headlight Grille.The BAD: Car is a Northern Car and while certainly not a rotten car; it does need its share of rust repair!! It does have mostly original paint on the car so there are no hidden surprises on the body. The floors will need some work, but the frame rails are all very solid on this car. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions BEFORE you bid!!
