Up for sale is my 2004 Mercedes SL55 AMG. The car currently is STILL UNDER WARRANTY (but will expire soon). I purchased the car in Oct of 2009 with 75,000 miles on it. I then purchased a Chrysler Service Contract with 60Months and 70,000 additional miles of coverage. The Maximum Care Plan is fully transferable to the new owner (I have the paperwork) and will expire on 12/03/14 or 148,990 miles. This is an exclusionary plan. What does that mean? Well simply put it covers everything except items listed on their list as Non-Covered items. These items are wear and tear items like brake pads, wiper blades, rotors, light bulbs, etc. I am only responsible for a $200.00 deductible. The car is absolutely loaded with options including -Satellite navigation -CD Player/CD Changer/& AUX INPUT (Glove Box) -Heated Seats -Keyless GO -Parktronic Parking Sensors (Front & Rear) -ABC (Active body control) - You can raise and lower the car with a touch of a button. The car’s suspension is all hydraulic. Sport mode stiffens the shocks, and as the car leans into a turn the side that would normally lean raises almost instantaneously to keep the car level in the corners. -Sensotronic Brake Assist- When the car senses rain, the computer forces the pads to slightly scrub the rotors to keep them warm and dry should you need to brake quickly. Also, if you release the gas quickly, the car primes the brakes anticipating a quick stop. -5 speed driver adapting transmission with Paddle Shifters. -The front brakes have 8 Piston calipers and are absolutely MASSIVE. -The power steering is speed sensitive (easy to turn the wheel at low speed, but stiffens up as speed increases. -Each engine is crafted by a single AMG technician. The helical supercharger and intercooler make this V8 scream with 493 HP and 516 lb-ft of TORQUE!!!! - At cruise the car is quiet and contained, but step on the gas and the monster absolutely comes ALIVE!!! ALSO, WITH A TOUCH OF A BUTTON THE RETRACTABLE HARDTOP FOLDS UP IN UNDER 16 SECONDS TO REVEAL A SPORTY CONVERTIBLE. -20” Wheels front and rear (Match the Car) -New Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires with less than 2000 miles on them (they retail around $400.00 each). -Rear Windscreen Included (Dealer price $780.00) -Bluetooth Hands free kit w/mic installed. -Carbon Fiber wrapped interior. Looks great, but can be removed if wood is preferred. -Rear wing/spoiler installed -New Updated Mirrors Installed and look great. -Updated Smoked rear center brake light installed. -Akebono Dustless Brake pads front and rear installed 4000 miles ago -New factory brake rotors front and rear installed 4000 miles ago -New engine mounts and transmission mount installed @84,100 miles. -New ball joints in the front installed @ 84,100 miles -New Control arm struts in the front installed @ 84,100 miles -New right front ABC Shock/Strut replaced at Dealer @ 84,100 miles -Crankshaft Position Sensor replaced @ 81,035 miles -New Updated Roof Flap Supports were installed @ 81,906 miles to prevent sagging and failure of the vario roof. (Preventative Maint) -New Fuel Filter installed @ 80,998 (Preventative Maint) -16 new NGK Laser Iridium ILFR6A Sparks plugs installed @ 78,500 miles (Preventative Maint). YES THAT’S 2 PER CYLINDER. -Transmission Fluid, Filter, Diff Fluid, Brake Fluid, and Antifreeze were all serviced at 81,000 miles (Preventative Maint) -New front Battery @ 93,000 miles -New front left ABC Shock/Strut replaced at Dealer at 96,000 miles -New Drivers side seat heater and all associated parts replaced at Dealer @ 96,000 miles (Warranty paid $3300.00). The driver’s seat is basically new. -A Johnson CM30 intercooler pump was installed (a popular mod to replace the stock pump that flows less, and tends to fail). -A larger front mount Heat Exchanger was installed to keep the intercooler temps low on hot summer days. It looks MEAN!!! -Had the dealer program the cooling fans to come on 10Degrees earlier (Popular Cooling Mod). -Installed Updated Alarm/Siren to new factory unit that beeps when the doors are locked. BOTTOM LINE = I’M A CAR NUT I maintain my vehicles religiously. All oil changes and service were performed on time every time. Only Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic European Formula oil was used, as well as the dealer recommended products and fluids. The car runs perfectly, everything works; it has been well cared for. Although the warranty is about to expire, the new owner can rest assured that I took the car to the dealer last month (Oct. 10th), and after $5493.00 in repairs (Left ABC Strut and Driver seat heater- I have receipts), the car has a perfectly clean Bill of Health. Everything works as it should and the car is ready to go another 100,000 miles. I personally hand wash the car with a fleece mitt, and regularly apply wax to the paint. The car is stunning in person. However, the car does have a history. In April 2009, the car was slightly hit (I have pics) in the front. The pics show the damage was very very minimal. The front bumper was barely cracked and impact bar barely dented. There is no frame damage. It looks as if the bumper cover, grill, cosmetic items, were all that were damaged. The original owner in California (Who paid around $130K for the car) refused to own a “Repaired Car”, so she sold it to the insurance company. The gentleman I bought the car from worked for the Fletcher Jones Mercedes Dealership in California. He had the car PROFESSIONALLY REPAIRED, and had Fletcher Jones inspect it.
