Vehicle Detail
2013 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca # 36 of 750 produced If you keep up with Mustangs, you are no doubt familiar with the already legendary Boss 302 Laguna Seca. This car was proclaimed by automotive enthusiast magazines to be the best Mustang ever made. I am re-listing this car with a few changes. I have lowered the starting price below the original listing (and well below the value of the car). There is NO RESERVE. However, the sale is for the car WITH ONLY THE ORIGINAL WHEELS AND TIRES, which are in the one picture behind the car. I will offer the set of 4-19x9 Ford Racing Laguna Seca wheels with 255/40ZR19XL Michelin Tires to the winner for $1400 at the winner's option, which is still a great deal. These have the TPMS sensors installed as well. I paid about $2700 for the tires, wheels, and sensors, and they only have about 4000 miles on them. These were the most highly rated performance tires (they come on several super cars) I could find, and they are much better suited for street use than the Corsa R compound Pirellis, which are better suited for track only use. Removing the extra tires and wheels from the auction will allow a more apples to apples comparison on pricing, and give someone the chance to buy this car at the fantastic deal everyone hopes for, since there were several offers fairly close to the original starting price. I am going to elaborate more on the provenance and condition of the car due to the email questions I received before. I purchased this car from Alec Udell's father Bob. Young Alec is the 2013 National Champion in the American Iron Series of the National Auto Sport Association. He races a Boss 302 (the actual approved track version of the car). Alec drove it for a little while, but Bob drove it mostly as a promotional/display car for the team. Bob took very good care of the car, it still has the sticker on the stereo display, and is pretty much like new. He also had a clear bra put on to the front of the car to protect the paint. I have been extremely careful with the car (and where I parked it), and pretty much only drove it to a few car shows. Most of the miles were from our trip on the Pony Drive to the 50th Anniversary celebration in Charlotte. I can even send a copy of the ticket I received for taking up two spaces at the hotel in Asheville, NC! (had the hotel's permission, but the local police did not care). The car has received all the Ford recommended service items and lubricants regularly at the dealership. As for the condition of the car, I can say that the last new vehicle I bought off the lot had about as many little scuffs as this car does. The most noticeable item (if you are looking at it) is a slight crimp in the front splitter where I recently let it roll too close to the wooden steps in the garage (where it has always been kept). If the owner does not install the LS Splitter, which is still in the box with the other user-install LS items (seen in one of the pictures), I think this is about $200 to easily replace if desired. On the interior, there were only a few light scratches around the key hole when I got it. The rest of the interior looks pretty much like new, as the pictures reveal, along with the carpet. I also noticed some very fine scratches down near the right exhaust pipe when I was waxing the car last. I had to get a couple of inches away to finally get it to show in a picture, which was added to the pictures above. I took another further back and it does not show at all, although I had waxed over that area again. I have added a few pictures that include these areas, although it is hard to keep out all other reflections. Obviously driving a car you will encounter some bugs on the grill. Luckily, there is only one tiny spot I could find where anything made it through the clear film, and that is very far down. The few other little spots will peel right off safely with the film if you choose, leaving a near perfect front grill. The most visible items are actually where the corners of the film are slightly peeling back, which may show up in close pictures. The car has no door dings. Other than the 70 MPH parade lap the Pony Drive participants were allowed to make upon arriving at Charlotte Raceway, this car has not been on the track or raced. I forgot one important thing last time. This car also has a 75,000 mile FORD EXTENDED WARRANTY good until 2018! All of the Boss Welcome package items are included and the car does have a Track Key. It also includes a dust cover. Drop me an email if you have any more questions or would like more pictures of the car.
