Its powered by a 5.7L 350 cubic inch v8 engine, and mated to an automatic transmission. The 5.7L V8 engine has plenty of power, starts right up and idles perfectly. Runs and drives beautifully with no issues. The truck is really a specialty truck because it has a utility body box, a 35 Ft Boom, 6500 Watt Generator, Interior working area, that is insulated, and has heat, and Central air. The work area in the rear has hooks, bins, power outlets and a 3 phase outlet as well. The Boom works great as you can tell in the photos, I did not raise the boom that high in the photos, as it was a very windy day, but she extends fully to 35 ft high off the ground ( meaning work area on boom platform to ground).
