Out-of-state buyers will pay tax in their own state or according to "reciprocal state" tax laws. If you will be registering this vehicle out of the state of Illinois, we will provide you with a 30-day drive-away tag at a state cost of $10. A $166.27 documentary fee is required for every vehicle purchased. Illinois is a "non-title holding state", meaning the bank holds title of any previously financed vehicle. Illinois requires us to provide title within 30 days to the new owner, but we are typically able to do so much sooner. We provide a 30-day temporary tag which allows the vehicle to be driven by the new owner until they are able to register the vehicle in their state. A licensed dealer cannot sell a vehicle if there is a remaining lien on it. All vehicles we sell are free and clear of any remaining liens.
