Vehicle Detail
I have for sale my 1966 Ford Mustang convertible. I have had this for probably 13 years and haven't gotten to it and realized I probably never will. This car was originally a Candy Apple Red car with black interior. It has a power top, center console and C4 automatic transmission. I believe the engine is seized from sitting. The car is almost complete. I know it is missing the following: taillights, fuel tank, front bumper, carpet, and some other small bits but that's about it. I bought this car because it was not all rusted out and it was restorable. The trunk is nice with one rust spot on each side above where the leaf spring links meet up with the frame. The frame under the trunk looks good. The floor pans are rough, the inner rocker panels are rotted out on the under side in a few spots. The inner rocker sides and top look good. The car has no sag to it, the doors line up nicely. The front frame looks good along the with shock towers. It still has the original drive train in it. I also have a complete 289 V8 2 bbl engine and C4 tranny along with the drive shaft, rear axle, wiring, etc from a 1966 Mustang that goes with the car. The 289 turns over but I don't know the history of the engine. I also have a power steering set up from a 1966 Mustang that would need new hoses and the valve rebuilt. I have also installed 1979 Ford Granada 5-lug front spindles with brake calipers. I was going to convert it to power brakes. I also have the proportioning valve but I don't have the booster or master cylinder. The glass is all good with the exception of the passenger door but I have another one I will include that needs to be installed. The dash is nice with no cracks. Heater unit has been removed and cleaned. The blower motor was tested and works fine. The front doors, front fenders, hood, trunk are all solid. Some are from different cars. The top is older but not in bad shape. The car comes with a clear title. The front panels were assembled for the pictures so that's why they look like they don't line up perfectly. I also have 3-4 medium boxes of extra parts that will also go with the car. So in review, restorable car with extra v8 drive train, power steering, some power brake stuff and some extra parts.
