Vehicle Detail

Car history: There have been two previous owners before me. The original owner lived in California and owned the car 22 years. The second owner lived in Ross Ohio and owned the car for 20 years. I bought the car in 2008. It has been garaged the entire life of the car. There is no rust. The car is all original except that it has been repainted once. The top is probably not original. It is in pretty good condition, but it is not show quality There is a one- half inch tear in the windshield bead across the front. I show the car about 5 times a year and always show it with the top down. The top works perfectly up and down, and there are no leaks in the pump or cylinders. It has won me about 10 trophies. The body is straight and I would say perfect, no dents. It has minor scratches, chips, and imperfections in the paint. To be a perfect show car it would have to be repainted but it stands tall as is. The bumpers have been re- chromed. All other chrome is in good condition. It has a new Ford tinted windshield which I had installed. I had the skirts repainted and the body under the front bumper painted. I also had the inside of the trunk, trunk lid underside, and the under side of hood and engine compartment professionally painted. The engine compartment and trunk have been completely restored. It has factory A/C but I haven't even tried to recharge the system. I drive it in the summer only and always with the top down so no need for A/C. If rain is in the forecast I don't drive it. The past two years I have left the top down all winter in the garage and put the custom cover on it. I put about 300 miles per year on the car since I have owned it. The suspension system has been completely restored where parts were needed. With 4 new Coker tires and alligned it drives straight as an arrow. Shocks are like new and it rides better than my Lincoln. There is a very small oil leak. No Transmission leaks. The turn signal rear sequential lights work but the third relay is slow. It is all original and to upgrade to an electronic box costs $300 if you want them to work perfectly. I'm not much of a mechanic and I installed one in my other 66 TB in about an hour. Yea, I had two at one time. The 66 TB's were notorious for slipping out of park. I had that fixed with a kit from Birds Nest.. The upholstery is in perfect condition. No tears , holes, rips etc. All instruments on the dash work. It has an AM radio and clock both in working order. It has the slide away steering wheel. The dash is in perfect condition. There are buttons installed around dash and windows and back seat. These buttons are for a "California" top, which is a canvas top that snaps on instead of raising the top overnight. I do not have this top. The snaps can be easily removed if you do not like this feature. All power features work: PS,PB, P Windows, P driver seat. It has very nice TB floor mats. Overall it is a very nice car and I hate to sell it. I am 76 now and time to sell my toys. I had the other 66 TB Hardtop for 10 years and sold it. I think this body style is one of the neatest ever made. I will be happy to answer any questions. A deposit of $500 is required within two days of auction close. I will refund the deposit if you are not satisfied after inspecting the car. Full payment is due within 7 days of auction close.
